Blue Angel

The Blue Angel is the first and most well known eco-label worldwide. Since 1978 it has set the standard for eco-friendly products and services selected by an independent jury in line with defined criteria. The Blue Angel is awarded to companies as kind of a reward for their commitment to environmental protection. The Blue Angel is an ecological beacon showing the consumer the way to the ecologically superior product and promotes environmentally conscious consumption.

 Today, about 10,000 products and services in 80 product categories carry the Blue Angel eco-label.

 Blue Angel criteria for Office Printing devices (RAL UZ 122) consist of:

• Minimized pollutant impact on indoor air quality
• Low energy consumption in idle modes for enhanced climate protection
• Low-noise operation does not interfere with users concentration
• Uses recycled paper
• Duplex unit for double-sided printing on high-end appliances

Lots of functions, minimum of raw materials
Whether printer, copier or multifunction device - they all have the same advantage: they save resources. The production of office equipment requires substantial amounts of raw materials. The more parts of an appliance can be recycled the less new raw materials are needed to produce new appliances. And, finally, reducing energy consumption helps to protect our climate.
