Canon announces a new addition to its colour All-In-One i-SENSYS laser range: the professional quality MF8450. The network-ready MF8450 is a laser 4-in-1 that sets new standards in output quality and speed, and is therefore ideal for small businesses looking to use colour to help them expand. A powerful compact solution, it incorporates many of the advanced technologies found in Canon’s high-end imaging devices, delivering superior productivity, reliability, usability and efficiency.

Superior colour imaging

The MF8450 sets new standards in colour output quality for a desktop device by incorporating many of the advanced technologies found in Canon’s high-end imaging devices: including Pure Black technology, Real-Time ACS (Auto Color Select), a Super Toric lens, and Dual Direct Mapping technology. High-quality colour scans, copies and prints are easy to obtain, with superb colour images and graphics, sharp fine text, and unrivalled colour consistency and accuracy – even for those images featuring fine skin tones and shaded areas.

Exceptional performance – save time

The MF8450 combines quality with speed. The 4D in-line print engine produces colour and mono prints and copies at consistently high speeds: 17 ppm/cpm. First Copy Out Time is approximately 14 seconds. Furthermore, Canon’s Quick First-Print technologies, including On-Demand Fixing technology, ensure zero warm-up time and no waiting, even from sleep mode.

Ease of use

An intuitive graphical interface makes navigating menus a simple and quick process. To aid setup and troubleshooting, graphical wizards help users get started and resolve any issues that may arise.

Enhanced workflow

SEND functionality with Compact PDF transforms the MF8450 into a communication hub for sharing high-quality documents digitally – furthering its usefulness, efficiency and productivity. Users can scan colour documents directly to email, a network server (SMB and FTP), Internet Fax, or even a USB memory key. Canon’s Compact PDF technology uses a process of object segmentation to produce high quality PDF documents that are up to 1/20th the size of the original.

Productivity and durability

Auto-duplex printing, copying, faxing and scanning come as standard, saving time and paper. The MF8450 has a robust and solid design, a maximum paper capacity of 850 sheets, and 384MB of shared memory – ensuring that it matches the demands of even the busiest small offices. The network ready MF8450 also features a Remote User Interface, allowing it to be shared between multiple users, as well as DEPT ID management for securing access in open areas.

Efficient and Economic

All consumable parts are contained in four easy-to-change All-In-One colour cartridges, ensuring continuous high quality output and minimal maintenance requirements. The black Cartridge 711 and colour Cartridge 717 feature impressive page yields of 6000 pages and 4000 pages respectively.[1] The MF8450 is EnergyStar certified and boasts one of the lowest Typical Energy Consumptions in its class – just 2.8 KWh. In Energy Save mode the MF8450 consumes as little as 1.2 watts.
