Canon Europe, world-leader in imaging solutions, today celebrates the continuation of its sponsorship of London Fashion Week by providing an exclusive programme of support for professional photographers at this prestigious event. As principal sponsor for the third year, Canon will be providing a dedicated support centre for Professional photographers on site to ensure that all accredited photographers have everything they need, from internet access and printers to a dedicated team of Canon support technicians. In addition, exclusive Canon buses will be shuttling photographers between shows to ensure they don’t miss a moment of the capital’s catwalks. All visitors to the event are invited to Canon’s exhibition space, where Canon’s award-winning range of professional imaging products will be available to try*. Canon is also principal sponsor of Milan Fashion Week and sponsor of Paris Fashion Week. This extensive support in London builds on Canon’s previous European consumer fashion projects, We Speak Image and The Other Side of Fashion, which raised hundreds of thousands of euros for the Red Cross Societies. Ian Gillett, Professional Photographer said, “I’ve been taking photographs at London Fashion Week for over ten years and I’m currently using the Canon EOS-1Ds Mark III and 1D Mark III. Canon’s support centre at London Fashion Week is an invaluable resource for all the professional photographers at the shows who benefit from excellent on-the-ground facilities to ensure quick turnaround for the best images.” James Leipnik, Chief of Communication and Corporate Relations at Canon Europe said, “The power of the image is at the heart of the world of fashion, and Canon’s leading imaging solutions are used to deliver outstanding results throughout the industry, from image capture through to colour matching and professional quality printing. We are delighted to be able to support professional photographers in London this September and enable them to capture striking images both on and off the catwalk.” Click here to view a short online video of the London Fashion Week TV.
