Hall 8a, Stand C06 – 1, drupa 2012, 3 to 16 May
The Canon stand is designed to inspire visitors through the use of over a hundred Canon customer case studies and applications to give visitors fresh ideas on how to grow their printing business. As well as supplying the tools and technology, Canon will also be providing advice to print businesses through the recently launched Essential Business Builder Mentoring programme
A range of new, innovative technology (see press release Innovative technologies to be announced of Canon stand at drupa, dated 4th May 2012) is exhibited demonstrating the strength of the combined portfolio. The new technology includes the Océ ColorWave 650 Poster Printer aimed at the Point Of Sale market; Velocity, a high volume print proposition that Prints up to 500 A0 prints per hour; and a continuous production high capacity stacker that features unlimited stacking capacity and enables high stacking accuracy for feeding into offline post-processing equipment.
Published at drupa, Canon’s fourth Insight Report See The Bigger Picture – Your customers’ view on the value of print (see press release Canon research highlights opportunities for printers to strengthen customer relationships, dated 4th May 2012), examines the opinions and attitudes of print buyers and the expectations of Print Service Providers. The report draws powerful and thought-provoking conclusions, which will be discussed in customer seminars on the stand.
“We are at a point where print really needs to reaffirm its position as an integral part of the communications mix and print service providers need to work to demonstrate print’s return on investment by becoming trusted advisors to their customers. This fresh insight combined with our optimism in the future of print and the addition of new technologies, means that Canon is uniquely positioned to help print service providers evolve and grow.” says David Preskett, European Professional Print Director, Canon Europe. “We want to help customers to see the bigger picture and that there is much more to print than just printing,”
