The F-718SGA Emulator offers educators complete flexibility and control over on-screen content with a selection of intuitive and easy-to-use features. Mimicking the physical features of Canon’s F-718SGA scientific calculator, the software enables teachers to provide an interactive demonstration of complex calculations to large groups. A ‘capture display’ function allows users to instantly take a snapshot of on-screen content or create an image of calculations or formulae – ideal for teachers who wish to provide a step by step guide to a particular calculation.
For more complex calculations, teachers can utilise an ‘independent display enlarge’ function, which instantly launches a larger version of the scientific calculator’s LCD display, making it easier to demonstrate and explain longer mathematical equations. The F-718SGA Emulator is designed to be completely flexible, running directly off a CD-ROM, so users can seamlessly run the software on any computer in any classroom, with no installation required. To complement the launch of the F-718SGA Emulator, the new F-715SG is a stylish, slim and lightweight scientific calculator, ideal for students who need to work with complex equations. Available in a choice of three lively colour combinations including white/blue, white/magenta and black, students can pick the perfect F-715SG to suit their tastes and personality. In order to make longer calculations easier, the F-715SG’s large LCD is able to display two lines of content at any one time, and the model comes equipped with 250 functions and features, including the ability to memorise, store and recall up to 17 different numerical answers. The F-715SG is manufactured in line with Canon’s policy of reducing the environmental impact of its products, a key feature of Canon’s calculator range. Like other models in the range, the F-715SG is part manufactured using recycled Canon materials to help minimise the use of new resources. The hard case on all models and the lower case and battery cover on selected models[3] are manufactured from plastic recycled from other Canon processes. The F-715SG also incorporates a solar panel and replaceable battery to guarantee all-day performance, while a new low battery indicator allows users to easily monitor power levels as they work.
