Canon launches low environmental impact arc Design Series with AS-8, AS-120 and AS-1200 models

United Kingdom, Republic of Ireland, 1st June 2010 – Canon today announces its new arc Design Series of recycled calculators with the launch of the new AS-8, AS-120, and AS-1200 – a trio of models designed to offer performance, style and value. Perfect for education, office and general use, the new models offer easy operability and a series of handy features to suit the requirements of a wide range of users. The new range also debuts Canon’s new ‘arc’ design proposition, which features a sleek, gradual upward curve throughout each calculator body – adding sophisticated style to solid, everyday performance.

High style, excellent value, part-recycled

Created in line with Canon’s principle of minimising environmental impact, the new arc Design Series comprises models part-manufactured using Canon’s copier-recycled materials. The top and bottom covers on each calculator have been created using recycled material from Canon’s photocopier range, minimising product waste. Two models feature an efficient dual power system that utilises solar energy and replaceable batteries. An Auto-power Off function also reduces unnecessary energy waste by shutting each model down after seven minutes of non-use.

The arc Design Series is the perfect option for those looking for high-value functionality. Combining competitive pricing with varied features and stand-out, sustainable designs, the range offers low cost, uncompromising, everyday performance for students, office workers and bookkeepers alike.
