The Canon Ambassador’s Programme brings together some of the world’s best photographers in the fields of news, sport, nature, fashion and more. The programme has been running for almost a year and is part of Canon’s commitment to supporting excellence in photography, a passion also shared by the Getty Images Gallery. The supreme skill of these committed and expert Canon users has resulted in numerous awards and earned them the respect of their fellow professionals. This stunning exhibition offers a rare insight into the Ambassadors’ inspirations and motivations, giving visitors a unique opportunity to share in their passion for powerful pictures. The images have been hand-selected by Canon from each of these renowned photographers’ unique bodies of work, to demonstrate their passion for photography and the variety of images all shot on Canon equipment. “This exhibition is a tribute to these photographers and the diversity of the images they each capture,” says Getty Images Gallery Director Louise Garczewska. “All the Canon Ambassadors involved in this exhibition have a unique eye for taking stunning pictures and we are proud to be showcasing their fantastic work at the gallery.” “The Canon Ambassadors programme gives us the chance to honour the talents of photographers using Canon equipment, it allows us to engage with the wider photography community,” said Yuji Shimodate, Director Photo Products Management & Professional Imaging, Canon Europe. “At Canon we are passionate about the power of image and we are thrilled to be able to showcase our Ambassadors’ powerful and stunning images at this new exhibition.” This exclusive exhibition includes images of fashion shoot from Getty Images photographer Lorenzo Agius and emotive images from Getty Images photojournalist, Brent Stirton’s body of work from Ethiopia and Congo, as well as Frits van Eldik’s stunning pictures of Formula 1 races and eye-catching images by Polaris Images photojournalist, Ziv Koren.
