The two companies have already raised £8,402.30 and are to donate all the funds raised from IoD members’ usage of the Canon Innovation Suite, housed within the IoD’s state of the art business information centre, to support The Trust’s work.

The Canon Innovation Suite provides members with an exclusive interactive meeting room ideal for brainstorming and creative planning. Benefiting from the latest easy to use brainstorming techniques and innovative Canon technology, the room helps IoD members maximise the effectiveness of their meetings.

The room may be hired for full days (for £200 plus vat) or half days (for only £100 plus vat), with all proceeds being donated to The Prince's Trust.

“We are thrilled to be able to make a difference to the lives of young people across the UK,” said Andy Vickers, Managing Director, Canon UK and Ireland. “Many unemployed young people may feel trapped, unmotivated and that it will be impossible to find a job in the future. Raising money for The Prince's Trust will allow us to give something back to Britain’s disadvantaged young people.”

“The Prince’s Trust does a fantastic job in helping young people get their lives back on track,” said Andrew Main Wilson, Chief Operating Officer, IoD. “We are delighted to be able to play a small part in this by giving something back to the next generation.”

“The success of young people is our future,” said Julian Barrell, Director of Fundraising,  The Prince's Trust. “We need to raise one million pounds every week to continue our work. This donation will go towards helping young people fulfil their potential.”

These include an interactive pod that provides a guide to running an effective creative planning session, as well as Canon's flagship colour print engine - which offers the highest standard of digital colour printing available. The room also utilises an electronic scanning solution eCopy. eCopy is an easy to use system for transferring any type of paper documents, notes or ideas from your meeting into an electronic format that can be effortlessly and securely sent to your email address.
