As a manufacturer of electronic products, Canon provides for the collection and treatment of WEEE in each EU country where we have a national sales office, in line with the Directive. Our customers can return used Canon equipment to a designated collection site or return it on a like-for-like basis when buying new equipment.
Information for customers – EU and EEA
The symbol below indicates that a product is not to be disposed of with household waste, according to the Directive and each country’s national law. 
The product should be handed in at a designated collection point or to an authorised collection site for recycling waste electrical and electronic equipment (EEE). Improper handling of this type of waste could have a possible negative impact on the environment and human health due to potentially hazardous substances that are generally associated with EEE. At the same time, the correct disposal of this product will contribute to the effective use of natural resources. Further information
