Effortless results
The razor sharp 1/4.5” 1.33 Megapixel sensor sets the MV880X apart, delivering beautiful hi-resolution images – even with the 14x zoom lens extended to its strongest magnification. Perfectly illustrating Canon’s belief that quality should never be complicated, everything about the camcorder is designed to help you capture those great moments, not cause you to miss them. For exceptional contrast and clarity, 60 years of Canon lens development is built into a precision glass lens.

16:9 Wide Screen
For all the drama of the cinema, the MV880X has High-Resolution 16:9 Mode for wide screen video, and comes with a 0.6x wide converter lens to give your images that extra panoramic feel. Viewing your cinematic results is a delight with the large 2.4” colour LCD screen.

Easy mode
For great results straight out of the box, switch to ‘Easy’ mode. Within seconds of turning on your new camcorder, you’ll be capturing superb quality footage effortlessly. Just 5cm wide, the compact ergonomic design fits snugly into your palm and provides fingertip access to all key functions via carefully positioned controls. Menu navigation is intuitive, uncomplicated and available in 8 languages.

Built in digital camera
As well as outstanding video performance, the MV880X features true digital still functionality. A mechanical shutter delivers blur free photos worthy of a spot in any album, while selectable auto focus frames let you keep non-centred subjects sharp. The MV880X connects to any PictBridge compatible photo printer to create quality photo prints without the need to first download to PC. JPEGs and up to 60 minutes1 of Motion JPEG are stored direct on MMC or SD memory cards.

Great results, any conditions.
Electronic Image Stabilisation (EIS) keeps your footage steady, making hand held shooting rock-solid. Super Night Mode and its white LED will keep you shooting even in zero light conditions.

Emotional colours
Recording the colours we humans recall and respond to, Canon’s DIGIC DV processor translates optical data into satisfying, lifelike imagery. Skin tones are warm and natural, while colours such as the blues of a sky or the greens of grass are rich and vibrant.

1 Depending on type of footage and memory card capacity. Records up to 1GB clips.
