High Image Quality
The Digital IXUS v3 ensures the highest quality images all the time with innovative features including a 3.2 Mega Pixel CCD and a new high performance Digital Imaging Core (DIGIC) processor.

Powerful zoom
For perfect close-up shots the IXUS v3 features a compact and retractable 35-70mm 2x optical zoom lens. The 3.6 digital zoom means that there is no step drop in resolution as the camera enters the zoom function – just a smooth operation every time.

9-Point AiAF/Fixed Centre Point AF
The Digital IXUS v3 uses a new nine point intelligent AiAF system, which means that an even larger area is covered by the focusing system. The camera simply looks at the nine focusing points and deduces the correct focus that is required.

Intelligent Orientation Sensor
A new tiny sensor has been built-in to detect the orientation of the camera. A small camera icon shown in the shooting window indicates whether you are in Portrait or Landscape mode.

White balance
The Digital IXUS v3 uses a high precision white balance system to enhance your photos featuring five preset filters – Daylight, Cloudy, Tungsten, Flourescent and Flourescent High as well as an Auto mode and a useful Custom mode.

Histogram Playback
The IXUS v3 features histogram playback to help you to determine if the correct exposure has been achieved and enabling you to enhance the results where required.

Movie Recording and Playback
Improvements to the movie mode means that the recording times have increased and the image quality in the VGA mode has also improved. Recording times will depend on the speed (and capacity) of the CF card used in the camera.

Long Shutter Speeds
For optimum results The IXUS v3’s long shutter speeds enable you to manually select a shutter speed of between 1 and 15 seconds.

Direct Print
The IXUS v3 is compatible with Canon’s full range of Direct Printers. Simply connect directly to the printer via a cable and you can control the printing via the camera through the direct print screen. The Bubble Jet printers can print borderless prints from PCMCIA cards or direct from a compatible Canon digital Camera. The Canon Card Photo Printers offer simple and quick direct printing producing images on credit card size paper.
