Shooting modes and My Colors
Choose from a range of 15 shooting modes to get that perfect shot. Eight easy-to-use Special Scene modes help with great results in tricky lighting conditions, including Beach, Foliage and Snow. My Colors allows special in-camera colour effects to be applied in real time to images and movies.

Auto Focus and 1cm Super Macro mode
5-point AiAF ensures that even off-centre subjects remain sharp and in focus. With Super Macro mode, you can focus as close as 1cm from your subject - perfect for capturing the fine detail of tiny objects.

Movies
Record up to 3 minutes of full-motion video for playback with friends and family. Shoot large VGA quality movies at 10fps, or extra smooth QVGA movies at 30fps.

1.8" LCD screen
A 1.8" LCD brings pleasure to framing and reviewing your creations. The selectable Grid Line Display helps with composition, while Night Display aids screen visibility after dark.

Easy


Printing
Printing is instant with the PowerShot A420. Simply connect to any PictBridge compatible printer and push the Print/Share button for a full colour print within seconds. Connect to a Canon SELPHY CP Series printer and you can also print ID photos and movie stills.

Editing and sharing
Canon's ZoomBrowser EX (Windows) and ImageBrowser (Macintosh) are included for editing and organising photos, movies and slide shows. CANON iMAGE GATEWAY* provides 100MB of web space for sharing photos online.
