High Image Quality
The highly compact and sharp optical zoom lens gives perfect close-ups and the unique DIGIC processor gives even better colour reproduction. With Histogram Playback and High Precision White Balance, you can be sure of stunning results. Movie recording and play-back modes mean you bring to life those special moments for posterity.

RAW mode
RAW mode allows you to obtain original image data, recording the image direct from the CCD without any image processing. With RAW mode images, you can alter and set the parameters of your image before saving it or transferring it to your PC.

Exposure Modes
The perfect exposure mode can be selected using Centre weighted average, Evaluative, or Spot.

Continuous Shooting Modes
The ‘speed priority’ mode is ideal for shooting a number of top quality shots at high speed, perfect for action pictures. For a large number of shots at a slower speed, the PowerShot S45 offers the alternative ‘quantity priority’ mode.

Intelligent Orientation Sensor
A new tiny sensor has been built-in to detect the orientation of the camera. A small camera icon shown in the shooting window indicates whether you are in Portrait or Landscape.

Photo Effects and Sound Annotations
You can personalise your pictures with our range of photo effects, and sound annotations of up to 60 seconds, to each still image for your own personal records or for sharing.

Direct Print
The PowerShot S45 is compatible with Canon’s full range of Direct Print printers. Simply connect the camera to the printer, select an image and in a few moments a perfect print is made.
