Resolution

Optics
The 3.6x optical zoom lens uses Canon's UA lens technology to deliver crystal-clear performance in an exceptionally compact form. The wide focal length range of 28mm-100mm (35mm equivalent) gives you the ability to shoot wide angle or telephoto as the scene demands.

Processing
The powerful DIGIC II image processor ensures fast, responsive camera performance and superior image quality. Canon's iSAPS technology uses shooting scene information to optimise camera settings before a shot is taken.

Extra large LCD
The huge 2.5" LCD features a wide viewing angle for easy group viewing among friends. An SLR-style Multi Control Dial lets you navigate menus and scroll through images quickly and easily. Judge exposure settings accurately before every shot with the real-time histogram display.

Shooting modes
Choose from 21 shooting modes for complete control over camera settings. 12 Special Scene modes help achieve great results in a variety of situations. Custom colour effects can be applied in real time with My Colors. Record high resolution (1024 x 768) XGA movies with sound up to 1 GB* in size.

Focus and exposure
Fast 9-point AiAF ensures sharp results even when subjects are off-centre. For added control, FlexiZone AF/AE lets you manually select an auto focus area and adjusts the exposure accordingly.

Accessories
Extend shooting possibilities with a wide range of optional accessories, including wide angle and telephoto conversion lenses, a High Power Flash and a waterproof case.

Easy prints
For instant full colour prints, connect the PowerShot S80 to any PictBridge-compatible printer and press the Print/Share button. Connect to a Canon SELPHY CP Series printer for additional print functions, such as printing ID photos.

Edit and share
Canon’s ZoomBrowser EX (Windows) and ImageBrowser (Macintosh) are included for editing and organising photos. CANON iMAGE GATEWAY** provides 100MB of web space for sharing your photos online. Transferring your images to a computer takes seconds with the fast USB 2.0 Hi-Speed connection.
