A unique manual-focus lens designed exclusively for macro shooting
The MP-E65mm f/2.8 1-5X is ideal for very small subjects, capable of capturing subjects at up to 5x life size. The lens design contains UD-glass elements to suppress chromatic aberrations which often become apparent at high magnifications. For flash photography, Macro Ring Lite MR-14EX or Macro Tin Lite MT-24EX can be attached.
Super Spectra coating
Super Spectra coatings help ensure accurate colour balance and high contrast, and suppress flare and ghosting by absorbing light that might be reflected off internal lens elements and digital sensor.
Passes distance information to E-TTL II
The lens passes distance information back to the camera's E-TTL II flash system to ensure optimal flash metering in any shooting situation.
