TIPA AMV 30

The EOS 1V is the choice of professional photographers the world over. Combining outstanding reliability with advanced features it is the world's leading AF SLR camera.

Features

  • Wide-area 45-point AF
  • Maximum continuous shooting speed of 10 fps
  • Ultra tough and durable magnesium alloy casting
  • E-TTL/A-TTL/TTL autoflash metering with speedlites
  • Optional EOS link software allows downloading of shooting data

State-of-the-art technology combines strength and elegance

High speed shooting
The EOS 1V is the world’s fastest 35mm AF SLR camera at 10 frames per second. By using the DRIVEE2 and Ni Mh battery pack, the EOS 1V can be set to one of four film advance modes: single frame, low speed, high speed and ultra high speed continuous advance.

Excellent AF performance
The EOS 1V has a 45-point area AF for better subject capture. It can register the most frequently used focusing point and shift focusing to this point instantly.

Sturdy, reliable build
The magnesium alloy used for the EOS-1V is lightweight, yet possesses exceptional strength.
The aperture and hybrid framework structure which serve as the base for various parts and fittings are diecast aluminum, with glass-fibre reinforced polycarbonate resin, which is equal in strength to metal. The main outside covers are made of magnesium alloy. The 72 major body seams and moving parts, such as the shutter button, selector buttons and Main/Quick Control Dials, are carefully sealed with silicone rubber, and the edges of the back cover are thoroughly finished. Furthermore, the battery chamber located inside the new grip GR-E2 is protected by packing, while the insides of function buttons, found on the upper left of the body, are protected from dust and water by a silicone rubber boot.

The EOS-1V's electronically controlled rotary magnet shutter has been designed to eliminate the possibility of operational trouble. This shutter unit remains as accurate as its original performance even after long use and under severe shooting conditions. In this shutter system, the first and second shutter curtains are controlled by a non-contact rotary magnet, which does not suffer from dust accumulation and sticking. The shutter blades are made of carbon fibre and super-duralumin, for high reliability in all shooting conditions over extended use. The unit recorded in excess of 150,000 shutter-cycles in in-house testing. The unit performs high-speed shutter operation with exceptional accuracy at a maximum shutter speed of 1/8,000 second and a maximum flash sync speed of 1/250 second. Because the unit requires no power to hold the second shutter curtain open during bulb exposure, battery consumption is minimized. You get up to 1,000 hours of operation with the 2CR5 battery at room temperature.

Improved functions

The EOS 1V has an advanced 21-zone evaluative metering system and a number of exposure control modes that can be linked to the active focusing point being used. The high speed and high precision shutter has a speed of 30 sec to 1/8000 sec and X synch at 1/250 sec. Other features include a 100% viewfinder, dioptric correction from –3 to +1, built-in eye piece shutter and a laser matte focusing screen with area AF ellipse. The EOS 1V can use infrared film and is also capable of film ID imprinting for easier film identification and organisation.

Computer links
The shooting data from every picture taken is automatically recorded in the EOS 1V’s built-in memory. The EOS link software allows the user to link the camera directly with a computer and retrieve shooting information that can then be viewed and edited. Thumbnail images can also be loaded using a film scanner and shooting data matched to the image
