With its eye-catching silver metallic finish, the EOS 3000N is Canon’s new entry level EOS camera. Suitable for newcomers to SLR photography yet with enough advanced features to satisfy owners as their photographic skills develop, the EOS 3000N is an ultra compact and lightweight camera with plenty of functionality.
Innovative focusing system The EOS 3000N uses a wide-area three-point focusing system, which is displayed in the viewfinder, allowing users to select each of the focusing points and switch either automatically or manually. The three-point system also allows off-centre subjects to be captured perfectly.
Flexible metering Exposure metering is performed using six-zone evaluative metering, partial metering at centre, or a centre-weighted averaging metering system. Manual exposure correction (+/- 2 stops) is also available.
Thanks to Canon’s EOS dedicated external speedlites, E-TTL autoflash metering is made possible. This system uses the camera’s evaluative metering sensors for the flash reading. Together with the three focusing points that are linked to E-TTL, it is possible to illuminate subjects with the correct exposure, regardless of where they appear in the frame.
Rapid shooting AEB is provided with the 3000N, allowing users to shoot three frames in rapid succession from –2 to +2 increments. Users can take perfectly exposed shots, even in difficult lighting.
Choose your operating mode The EOS 3000N uses the familiar Canon command dial so that users can choose their operating modes easily. There are five PIC modes, including portrait, landscape, close-up and sports. A full auto mode provides general settings to suit most subjects. |
