Partnerships and Compliance - Freshwater and Environmental Management

Since 1998, Canon Europe has been a Conservation Partner of the World Wildlife Fund. In 2005, the partnership launched a joint initiative across Austria, Belgium, Finland and Norway to raise money for the WWF’s Global Freshwater Programme.

The aim of this initiative is to protect freshwater habitats from pollution by encouraging the recycling of toner cartridges. Whenever empty toner cartridges are collected, Canon donates to the Global Freshwater Programme.

Commencing in 1996 with its production sites, Canon continues to expand its compliance with the ISO14001 standard for environmental management into all aspects of its business activities worldwide.
