Photo and document printing
Enjoy bright and vibrant photo prints, with a maximum resolution of 4800x1200dpi* and ink droplets as tiny as 2pl delivering smooth gradations and fine detail. The ChromaLife100+ system** combines the PIXMA MP480, genuine Canon FINE Cartridges and a selection of Canon photo papers to deliver long-lasting, beautiful photos. A 10x15cm borderless photolab-quality print can be produced in approximately 45 seconds*.

Two FINE Cartridges deliver high-quality prints, whether from text documents, web prints or photos. A black cartridge contains pigment ink for crisp text printing, while a second colour cartridge of dye-based inks is ideal for graphics and images, and delivering glossy photo prints.

Copying
The combination of scanner and printer enables you to create high-quality, vibrant copies without the need for a PC. Make a second copy of a cherished old photograph or make a copy of an important document to keep for your own record.

Scanning
The 2400dpi resolution flatbed scanner provides superb colour scans, with a quick and easy scan to PDF function and OCR function for creating electronic versions of paper documents. With one click of a scan button, an Auto Scan Mode automatically recognises the type of photo or document then scans and saves with suitable settings. Added versatility is provided by the option to save scans direct to memory card or USB stick without having to use a PC.

Photo editing
Canon’s Easy-PhotoPrint EX software has been included to make correcting and enhancing your photos straightforward and intuitive. The enhanced Auto Photo Fix allows you to get great results every time, and includes an automatic red-eye reduction feature.

Ease of use
The potential of the All-In-One is maximised by the inclusion of a Quick Start function. Users have access to all the major features within a few seconds from turning the PIXMA MP480 on, taking full advantage of the 4.5cm colour TFT display to navigate options. PictBridge compatibility and memory card slots also benefit digital camera users, enabling them to print directly from their camera without needing a PC.
