Advanced Optics and Lens Design Benefiting from 70 years of optical innovation, Canon projection lenses offer unrivalled clarity and contrast. Each XEED projector features a 1.7x zoom lens that enables flexible projector placement, and uses advanced Canon technologies to eliminate common imaging problems like ghosting and flare. The 1.7x zoom projection lens in each XEED is powered for both automatic and manual focusing via the control panel and remote control. The wide lens facilitates a range of throw distances between 1.2 – 9.0 metres, ensuring bright, large images, even from short throw distances. Each Canon projection lens features advanced optical technologies first developed for Canon’s industry-leading range of EF photographic lenses. UD (Ultra-low Dispersion) lens elements are included to lower chromatic aberration, while a Super-Spectra coating minimises ghosting and flare. The slim lens optimises the projector’s output, and enables the compact form of the unit.
