Medical Imaging In medical imaging, very fine differences in colour gradation in images such as X-rays and ultrasound scans can be crucial to the correct diagnosis and medical processes. The Digital Imaging and Communications in Medicine (DICOM) standard incorporates an internationally recognised set of colour values for greyscale medical images. Canon and Lariviere have worked together to create a solution that internally calibrates XEED projectors to be DICOM-compliant.
