Counterfeit products may seem like a bargain, but since they come without a guarantee, consumers often learn the hard way that their purchase can be not only risky but also expensive.

Counterfeit ink cartridges may cause problems such as:

These infringements usually constitute criminal offences, and offenders can be subject to imprisonment and/or payment of fines. Offenders are also subject to payment for damages in civil proceedings.
