Balance

Balance is EFI ®’s innovative modular software, designed to enhance print workflows and make digital printing more productive on your colour and black and white devices.

Compatible with Canons production imageRUNNER and CLC devices Balance can help print providers reduce labour costs, decrease turnaround times, and increase productivity.  It provides a consistent, centralised system based aroung EFI’s Command Workstation, to improve efficiency and increase control over a print environment.

Considerable cost savings can be achieved by enabling job splitting and colour splitting; the colour pages in a document are sent to print on a colour device and the rest to a black and white printer.  Balance then enables automated insertion of the colour pages either on-line or off-line.

Simple to use and supporting industry standards such as Adobe PDF and the EFI Command Workstation user interface, Balance supports printers of multiple brands enabling Canon to offer a complete solution that will integrate with existing systems you may already have in place.

Impose lets you edit and assemble entire documents prior to processing or RIPping the files.  By allowing imposition styles of up to 10 rows and 10 columns, Impose optimises the use of paper stocks, thus increasing flexibility. 

With Balance you also have the ability to create hot folders, which allow you to automate job submission to your printers.  You can simply drag and drop a file (PDF, Postscript) into a hot folder and it will print.  The properties associated with that hot folder will then automatically be applied to the document.

Balance comes as standard with both Adobe Acrobat® and Enfocus Pitstop™.  With this advanced PDF editing technology you can view, edit and pre-flight jobs directly from the Command WorkStation.  In addition you also have the ability to re-number pages and create annotations, as well as move, scale, rotate or import objects, as well as change colours within documents.
