FAQ: Transferring music files to a camcorder

Helpful Information:

Solution:

The specifications of the music files compatible with the camcorder are as follows.
Audio encoding: Linear PCM
Audio sampling: 48 kHz, 16 bits, 2 channels
Minimum length: 1 seconds
File extension: WAV

The music files are saved in the memory under the following folder structure.

  • In the built-in memory

  CANON
    MY_MUSIC
       MUSIC_01.WAV to MUSIC_99.WAV
  • On the memory card

  CANON
    PRIVATE
        MY_MUSIC
            MUSIC_01.WAV to MUSIC_99.WAV

The supplied Music Data CD-ROM includes extra music tracks along with the ones pre-installed to the camcorder. Initializing memory will erase all music data that is pre-installed on the disk, but the data can be recovered by using a PC.
