FAQ: Can you use the Compact Power Adapter overseas?

Solution:


You can use this camcorder overseas.
Please refer to the following things when you plan to use it overseas.

You can connect the dedicated compact power adapter or battery charger to a power supply of　between 100 and 240 V AC, 50/60 Hz.
However, you need a plug adapter to use the camcorder in a country where the power plug shape is different from that of your own country.
(Please note that depending on the region, the plug shape may be different even in the same country.)
For information about power adapters, consult with a local travel agency or home appliance shops.

  • Do not connect the compact power adapter or the battery charger to an electric transformer (for overseas use). It may cause the camera to malfunction, become hot, catch fire, or result in electrical shock or physical harm.
  • Warranty coverage is subject to the country where the unit was purchased.In the event of a malfunction or problem that occurs while travelling abroad, please consult the customer support center in your home country after you return.
  • Use of genuine Canon accessories is recommended. This product is designed to achieve excellent performance when used with genuine Canon accessories. Canon shall not be liable for any damage to this product and/or accidents such as fire, etc., caused by the malfunction of non-genuine Canon accessories (e.g., a leakage and/or explosion of a battery pack). Please note that this warranty does not apply to repairs arising out of the malfunction of non-genuine Canon accessories, although you may request such repairs on a chargeable basis.
  • RISK OF EXPLOSION IF BATTERY IS REPLACED BY AN INCORRECT TYPE.
