FAQ:
The grip belt base may break off
Details:
We have discovered that if the XH G1 / XH A1 and XH G1S / XH A1S camcorders are carried by the grip belt repeatedly for a long time, in rare cases, the base that fixes the grip belt may weaken and break off.
Please note that if you carry the camcorder by the handle unit, you will not experience any problems as mentioned before.
Affected products:
XH G1 / XH A1 and XH G1S / XH A1S Professional Camcorders with the following serial numbers* are affected:
XH G1 / XH A1 : All units
XH G1S / XH A1S : xxxxxx0xxxxx or xxxxxx1xxxxx (units whose seventh digit of the serial number is 0 or 1).
* The serial number is printed on the product label at the bottom of the camera.
The 12-digit numerical string indicates the serial number
However, please note that the XH G1 / XH A1 and XH G1S / XH A1S camcorders that meet any of the following conditions are not affected by this phenomenon.
If there is a black dot next to the serial number on the product label of the camera (see picture below).
If the seventh digit from the left of the serial number is “2” or higher.
e.g. xxxxxx2xxxxx
If the shape of the grip belt base is the same as shown in the following image of the modified version.
