FAQ: Why does the zoom operation malfunction?

Issue


When rotating the zoom ring, it gets stuck and stops moving.

 

Cause

We have discovered that some EF-S 18-200mm f/3.5-5.6 IS lens products may have screws that come loose inside the lens and which may interfere with zoom operation of the lens.

Affected products:
Lenses with a Serial number in the range 450xxxxxxx to 631xxxxxxx may be affected.

 

Answer :


The products with this phenomenon will be inspected and repaired free-of-charge.
