FAQ: Can ID photos be printed with the EOS cameras or third-party cameras?

Helpful Information:


You can only print ID photos with the Canon digital compact cameras that support [PictBridge] () by connecting a USB cable to the printer you are using. (Some models are excluded.)
If you have a Canon digital compact camera that does not support [PictBridge] () , a Canon EOS camera, or third-party camera, see the link below, and then insert a memory card into the printer to print ID photos.
- Selecting a layout and printing directly from a card

ID photos cannot be printed with the following digital compact camera models released in the first half of 2005 or earlier that also support [PictBridge] () if connected via a USB cable.
PowerShot G6*, PowerShot G5, PowerShot S70*, PowerShot S60*, PowerShot S50, PowerShot S1 IS, PowerShot Pro1, PowerShot A95*, PowerShot A85*, PowerShot A80, PowerShot A75*, PowerShot A70, PowerShot A60, PowerShot A520*, PowerShot A510*, PowerShot A400*, PowerShot A310*, PowerShot A300, PowerShot S500 D ELPH*, DIGITAL IXUS 500*,PowerShot S410 D ELPH*, DIGITAL IXUS 430*, PowerShot S400 D ELPH*, DIGITAL IXUS 400*, PowerShot SD20 D ELPH*, DIGITAL IXUS i5, PowerShot SD10, DIGITAL IXUSi, PowerShot SD300 D ELPH*, DIGITAL IXUS 40*, PowerShot SD200 D ELPH*, DIGITAL IXUS 30*, PowerShot SD110*, DIGITAL IXUS IIs*, PowerShot SD100, DIGITAL IXUS II (as of August 2010)
* ID photos can be printed with these models if they are connected to a SELPHY CP/ES-series printer that supports [Canon Direct Print] () where the CP Direct Print function is available.

To print ID photos with a Canon digital compact camera, please note that images need to be taken in the camera’s (Large) recording pixel setting.
