FAQ: Why is an error message displayed at the end of the scanner driver installation after which the scanner driver cannot be launched from Toolbox in Windows Vista?

At the end of the scanner driver installation, the error message "Windows encountered a problem installing the driver software for your device" may be displayed on the screen.
In this case, your computer cannot recognize the scanner properly, and the scanner driver cannot be launched from Toolbox.

When the above message is closed, the message "Device driver software was not successfully installed" will be displayed on the task bar.

Remove and re-insert the USB cable and / or the AC adapter of the scanner.
