As we enter our sixth year of our fashion sponsorship, 2011 sees Canon's continued support as Title Sponsor of London and Milan Fashion Weeks and a Key Sponsor of Paris Fashion Week - events where fashion designers show their latest collections and buyers discover the
season’s new styles.

Supporting the professionals
Ensuring professionals have everything they need to capture the latest trends is paramount at all Canon sponsored events, from our latest colour-matching technology used by designers, to our advanced Digital SLR cameras favoured by professional photographers.

February's London Fashion Week will take place from 18th - 23rd and as usual will feature a dedicated Canon Professional Services Centre at Somerset House on London's Strand. This facility provides accredited fashion photographers with wireless internet access, printers and a team of Canon support technicians leaving them free to concentrate on the most important part of their job - shooting images.

When fashion shows are taking place away from the BFC Show Space at Somerset House, it is crucial the photographers get to the various Capital's catwalks in good time. The photographers need to transport their vast and valuable professional photography equipment around with them and to assist them Canon provides exclusive branded buses which shuttle them between venues so they are able to set up in good time and make sure they don't miss that all important shot.

Not every one is aware that the construction of the BFC Showspace,   the central hub of London Fashion Week takes place twice annually in the Courtyard of Somerset House, Strand, London.  Back in September 2010, Canon arranged filming of the build of London Fashion Week. To see last Autumn's event set-up which took place from 5th - 8th September, take a look at our time lapse video. This was made up of over 4000 frames taken on a Canon EOS-1D Mark IV with a Canon TS-E 24mm f/3.5L tilt shift lens.

Past fashion projects
Our extensive support of professional photographers during Fashion Weeks builds on previous European fashion projects, We Speak Image, and The Other Side of Fashion where the talents of 100 of the world’s most influential style icons were recruited to reveal an insider’s perspective on the international fashion scene.
