Our European sponsorship activities are carefully developed in line with our brand values and the principles of Kyosei - our philosophy of ‘living and working together for the common good’. Raising our profile and contributing to the communities in which we operate are both important factors when deciding how to plan our sponsorship activity.

Canon Europe’s current sponsorship portfolio spans a broad range of social, cultural and sporting areas including but not limited to:

• Fashion - London, Milan and Paris Fashion Weeks
• Environment - Conservation Partner of WWF, currently working together on the WWF-Canon Polar Bear Tracker Programme and accompanying Canon Kids' Zone microsite.
• Social responsibility – European Red Cross Societies
• Arts and culture - Barbican Great Performer Series
• Education - The Canon Foundation
• Sport - Canon Pro Golf Series

We also have a long-standing association with the game of football which dates back over 30 years and have supported the following tournaments in the past: 

• UEFA Cup Final™ matches (2006/07 - 2008/09)
• UEFA Super Cup™ matches (2007 - 2008)
• UEFA EURO 2008™ and 2004™ tournaments
• MTN Africa Cup of Nations™, Egypt 2006 and Ghana 2008
• UEFA Champions League™ (1995-2000 and 2004-2006)
• UEFA European Football Championship™ (since 1980)
• Consecutive World Cup tournaments (1978-1998) 
 
In 2009, we supported the UEFA Cup Final™ and UEFA Super Cup™ matches, having supported both since 2006 and 2007 respectively.
