High speed, high quality production scanning
Designed to suit diverse applications, the DR-4580U offers a fast scanning speed of up to 53 ppm (simplex/A4/200 dpi) or up to 90 images per minute (duplex/A4/200 dpi). A maximum scanning resolution of 600 dpi with 4 and 8-bit grey scale support provides high-quality, continuous tone scanning. Versatile, standard image enhancements ensure optimal quality. There's also a dynamic threshold function that detects and removes background colour, so text remains clearly visible. Even pencil marks and low contrast text are automatically intensified for extra clarity.
Accepts a wide mix of paper sizes and weights
Save time and reduce labour costs with the DR-4580U. A robust and reliable heavy-duty scanner feed mechanism handles a variety of document sizes and weights. The ADF accepts up to 200 documents, from A6 to A3. Or use the flatbed platen for very small formats (business cards, etc.), 3D objects such as books and bound documents and all exceptional scanning including fragile and damaged paper.
Simple to set up, use and maintain
Plug and scan simplicity ensures quick, easy installation. Operation is equally simple,
with minimal training required. While maintenance can be carried out on the spot,
reducing the need for service intervention. The easy-to-replace exchange roller kit
allows any user to switch rollers, when indicated on the message display. Ensuring
maximum uptime throughout the entire product life.
Detection modes for paper length and width
Scan standard size documents of different lengths, simply by switching on the 'detect
length' control mode. There is also a 'detect width' control mode. The advantage is a
considerable saving on disk space as only the required area of the document is
scanned, without generating any wasted white images. The DR-4580U also features
a built-in double feed sensor detector.
Barcode and Patch Code recognition
Both Barcode Recognition and Patch code recognition are standard features, allowing automatic indexing of documents with application software, as well as triggering the creation of a new document or batch. An optional imprinter is also available to control tracking of original documents.
