Temple of the Inscriptions

Information:

The Temple of Inscriptions was built in Mexico by the Mayan people in the seventh century. Abandoned around the year 800, the ruins were slowly overgrown with tropical forest until the arrival of the Spanish in the 1520s. The Temple of Inscriptions is named for the long text that covers it, which records about 180 years of Mayan history.
