Supersaurus

Information

With their name meaning ‘super lizard’, the Supersaurus was discovered when a huge shoulder blade, measuring over 2 metres in height, was found in the U.S. state of Colorado. Dr. Jim Jensen named the dinosaur in 1985, realising it was much larger than even the Brachiosaurus and Diplodocus, until then thought to have been the largest dinosaurs.
