Enhanced functionality for SoHo market with PIXMA MX850 |

United Kingdom / Republic of Ireland, 24 January, 2008: Canon today announces the PIXMA MX850, an Office All-In-One with print, copy, scan and fax capability. Replacing the MP830, the PIXMA MX850 maintains the high quality 1pl 9600dpi FINE1 print engine specification, while adding additional SoHo (Small office, Home office) functionality. With auto duplex scan and copy, Ethernet connectivity, and a high speed ADF loadable up to 35 sheets, PIXMA MX850 offers small businesses enhanced efficiency and ease-of-use.

Several new features have been added to the PIXMA MX850: Quick Start¹ enables users to start a copy approximately 5 seconds after power up. Auto Image Fix improves the quality of photographs using face detection and scene analysis to optimise areas such as face tone and brightness, colour fogging and over/under exposure. Photographs can be transferred directly to the printer from cameras and similar devices, either using the memory card slots (compatible with most popular formats) or via Bluetooth (with an optional adaptor) or PictBridge.

The PIXMA MX850 features: - Super G3 High Speed fax with 8 one-touch dials, 100 coded speed dials, 107 group dials and storage capacity for 250 incoming pages
- Photo lab quality with FINE print head producing min 1pl ink droplets up to max 9600x2400dpi
- Auto duplex scan and copy, high speed 35 page Auto Document Feeder (ADF)
- Auto duplex print/copy, 2 way paper feeding and CD/DVD print
- High speed printing at up to 31ppm Mono/24ppm Colour; photo lab quality borderless 10x15cm photo prints available in 21 seconds (Standard mode)
- 4800 x 9600 dpi resolution scanner.
