1. CANON AND PARTICIPANTS
1.1 This free prize draw is run by Canon (UK) Limited of 5 The Square, Stockley Park, Uxbridge UB11 1ET (“Canon”).
1.2 All entrants (“Participants”) must be United Kingdom residents aged 18 or over.
1.3 Employees of Canon, its subsidiary companies, their families, agents and other parties directly involved with this promotion and the sponsorship are not eligible to enter.
1.4 By entering this competition, all Participants are deemed to have agreed to be bound by these terms and conditions unless notified otherwise in writing.
2. PRIZE DRAW AND HOW TO PARTICIPATE
2.1 The free prize draw opens at 10.00 on 1st March 2022 and the closing date is midnight on 31st March 2022 with the draw taking place on the 11th April 2022.
2.2 To be entered into the free prize draw to win one Canon Ambassador mentoring session with Canon Ambassador the wedding photographer Sanjay Jogia as described further in clauses 3.2 and 3.3 below (the “Prize”) entrants must visit the dedicated Canon campaign page at www.professionalphoto.online/ sanjayjogia and submit their contact details via an on-line form between 10.00 on 1st March 2022 and midnight on 31st March 2022.
2.3 One entry per one person.
2.4 Entries received after midnight on 31st March 2022 will not be eligible to be entered into this Free Prize Draw. Canon reserves the right to disqualify incomplete or illegible data capture cards/entries.
3. THE PRIZE
3.1 One winner will be randomly drawn from all valid entries received throughout the period opening at 10.00 on 1st March 2022 and the closing date at midnight on 31st March 2022.
3.2 The Prize will include an online wedding photography mentoring session with Canon Ambassador the wedding photographer Sanjay Jogia that will last a minimum of two hours. This session will include a wedding photograph portfolio review where the winner will receive feedback and insights. The second part of the session will be a focus on coaching and advice on elements the winner would like to develop further or explore on the next part of their wedding photography journey.
3.3 The winner will need to have available for the session a maximum of 8-12 images for the wedding photography portfolio review and a brief overview of the topics they would like to discuss in the second part of the session. The 8-12 wedding photography images for the wedding photography portfolio review need to have a minimum width of 2000 pixels and be in Jpeg format with a quality setting of ten or higher and must NOT include images of minors (those under 18 years) (“Images”).
3.4 It is the winner’s responsibility to ensure all permissions and rights have been obtained to use the Images in order to share with Sanjay Jogia in connection with and for the portfolio review and the mentoring session. Canon will not be responsible for obtaining the image rights and will not have control of sharing the images. The images must be shared directly with Sanjay Jogia. Furthermore, the winner warrants and represents that the Images or any part thereof, and the use by Sanjay Jogia in connection with and for the purposes of the portfolio review and mentoring shall not infringe or breach the rights of any third-party, including but not limited to, any intellectual property, moral or image rights and that the winner has obtained in writing all necessary consents and permissions.
3.5 The Prize will be activated by following the steps below:
3.5.1 Canon will inform the winner of the Prize
3.5.2 Winner confirms they claim the Prize (within 10 working days)
3.5.3 Winner will liaise with Canon to confirm a date for the mentoring session that works for Canon Ambassador Sanjay Jogia and the winner. The mentoring session must take place before 31st December 2022. The mentoring session will be booked using an online video call tool such as Zoom or Microsoft Teams.
3.5.4 Once the date has been agreed the winner will supply the Images to Canon Ambassador Sanjay Jogia ahead of the call by an agreed date and via a secure transfer method.
3.5.6 The Prize is non-transferable, and no cash or credit alternatives will be substituted for the prize on offer. In the event that the Prize offered is unavailable due to circumstances beyond our control, Canon reserves the right to offer an alternative prize of equal or greater value.
4. THE SELECTION
4.1 The winner will be selected from all eligible entries using a random number generator and the winner’s entry confirmed by Canon.
4.2 Canon will contact the winner as soon as practicable after the 11th April 2022 via the email address submitted.
4.3 If Canon receives any rejected or unclaimed Prize from the winner within 10 working days of attempting to make contact by email, the original announced winner will forfeit their Prize.
4.4 The Prize may be awarded to other entrants at the absolute and sole discretion of Canon UK.
4.5 The Prize is provided to the winner of the Free Prize Draw in good faith by Canon. If a winner is unable to accept the Prize for any reason, then Canon must be notified as soon as possible.
4.6 Canon must either publish or make available information that indicates that a valid award took place. To comply with this obligation Canon will send the surname and county of the prize winner and, if applicable copies of their winning entry, to anyone who emails customer.marketing@cuk.canon.co.uk or writes to Canon (UK) Limited at its registered office address (enclosing a self-addressed envelope) within one month after the closing date stated in condition 2.2. If you object to any or all of your surname, county and winning entry being published or made available, please contact Canon at customer.marketing@cuk.canon.co.uk. In such circumstances, the Promoter must still provide the information and winning entry to the Advertising Standards Authority on request.
5. PERSONAL DATA
5.1 Any personal data submitted to Canon will be processed by Canon and its agents or associated group companies for the purpose of administering this free prize draw. Winner contact details provided to Canon will also be shared with Canon Ambassador. Sanjay Jogia in order to arrange and supply the Prize.
5.2 Participants may be contacted by Canon for the purposes of administrating the free prize draw or in the event that Canon wishes to discuss any other use of the information submitted to the free prize draw.
5.3 Canon (UK) Limited of 5 The Square, Stockley Park Uxbridge UB11 1ET are the Data Controller in respect of any personal data supplied by Participants.
5.4 The personal data provided is held securely and may be transferred on a secure server outside the EEA and the UK. For further details on how Participants’ information is protected please see the Canon Business and Consumer Privacy Policies (here) as applicable.
6. DISCLAIMER
6.1 In exceptional circumstances, Canon may void the Prize and/or change other promotional conditions provided that such changes are necessary and can be justified by objective reasons.
6.2 Canon reserves the right to refuse to honour any entry or to recover the full value of any Prize if it considers there has been an abuse or breach of the terms and conditions of this free prize draw.
6.3 Canon shall not be liable for any loss, damage or injury of any nature howsoever caused, sustained by any participant under this promotion. However, nothing in these Terms shall have the effect of excluding or restricting Canon’s liability for personal injury or death caused by the proven negligence of its employees or contractors.
6.4 In the event of a dispute over interpretation or implementation of the rules on any matter related to the free prize draw, the decision of the Directors of Canon is final and no correspondence will be entered into.
6.5 If any part of these conditions is found by a court of competent jurisdiction or other competent authority to be invalid, unlawful or unenforceable, then such part shall be severed from the remainder of these conditions, which shall continue to be valid to the fullest extent permitted by law.
7. LAW AND JURISDICTION
The prize draw will be governed by English law and entrants to the prize draw submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of the English courts.
