The Photography and Videography Show 2025 and EOS R50 Creator Kit & Training Free Prize Draw
1. PROMOTER AND PARTICIPANTS
1.1. This Prize Draw is run by Canon (UK) Limited, a company incorporated in England and Wales, with company number 01264300 and with a registered address at 4 Roundwood Avenue, Stockley Park, Uxbridge UB11 1AF, UK (“Canon”).
1.2. All entrants (“Participants”) must be UK residents aged eighteen (18) or over.
1.3. Employees of Canon, its subsidiary companies, their families, agents and other parties directly involved with this promotion and the sponsorship are not eligible to enter.
1.4. By entering this Prize Draw, all Participants are deemed to have agreed to be bound by these Terms and Conditions unless notified otherwise in writing.
2. PRIZE DRAW AND HOW TO PARTICIPATE
2.1. To be entered into the Prize Draw the Participant’s must enter their details into the Prize Draw entry form via a QR code at The Photography and Video Show 2025 held at the Excel in London between 10:00am GMT on Saturday 10 March 2025 and 5:00pm GMT on Tuesday 11 March 2025 (the “Entry Period”).
2.2. No purchase necessary.
2.3. Only one (1) entry per person is permitted.
2.4. Entries received after the Entry Period will not be eligible to be entered into this Prize Draw.
2.5. Canon reserves the right to disqualify incomplete, invalid, inappropriate or illegible entries.
3. THE PRIZE
3.1. One (1) winner will be randomly drawn from all valid entries received during the Entry Period (the “Winner”).
3.2. The Winner will receive:
(a) One (1) Canon EOS R50 Creator Kit; and
(b) a one-on-one product training session with a product expert at the Canon’s head office in the Video Studio at Canon’s UK head office at 4 Roundwood Avenue, Stockley Park, Uxbridge UB11 1AF). The training session will take place at a date to be mutually agreed between the winner and Canon, at a date no later than 31 December 2025 (the “Training”). (together the “Prize”)
3.3. The Prize is non-transferable and no cash or credit alternatives will be substituted for the Prize.
3.4. The Prize is as stated when published.
3.5. In the event that the Prize offered is unavailable due to circumstances beyond our control, Canon reserves the right to offer an alternative prize of equal or greater value.
3.6. The Prize excludes all costs and expenses incurred by the Winner in accepting and using the Prize, including: (a) travel (b) accommodation, (c) food and beverages and (d) any other sundry expenditure.
4. THE SELECTION
4.1. Using a random number generator, the Winner will be selected by Canon on Thursday 20 March 2025 (the “Announcement Date”) from all eligible entries.
4.2. Canon will contact the Winner using the email address provided by the Winner on their entry form, as soon as reasonably practicable on or after the Announcement Date in order to obtain delivery details for the Prize, including arranging a date for the Training.
4.3. If the Prize is rejected or unclaimed by the Winner within five (5) days from the date Canon makes contact as set out in clause 4.2, the Winner will forfeit the Prize.
4.4. The Prize may be awarded to other Participants using the random number generator at the absolute and sole discretion of Canon.
4.5. The Prize is provided to the Winner in good faith by Canon. If a Winner is unable to accept the Prize for any reason, then Canon must be notified as soon as possible.
5. PERSONAL DATA
5.1. Any personal data submitted to Canon will be processed by Canon and its agents or associated group companies and third-party suppliers for the purpose of administering the Prize. Canon is the Data Controller in respect of such personal data.
5.2. Participants may be contacted by Canon for the purposes of administrating the Prize draw or in the event that Canon wishes to discuss any other use of the information submitted to the Prize draw.
5.3. Canon (UK) Limited of 4 Roundwood Avenue, Stockley Park, Uxbridge UB11 1AF, is the Data Controller in respect of any personal data provided by Participants.
5.4. The personal data provided is held securely and may be transferred on a secure server outside the EEA. For further details on how Participants’ information is protected please see the Canon Consumer Privacy Policy https://myid.canon/canonid/#/policy.
6. DISCLAIMER
6.1. In exceptional circumstances, Canon may void the Prize and/or change other promotional conditions provided that such changes are necessary and can be justified by objective reasons.
6.2. Canon reserves the right to refuse to honour any entry or to recover the full value of any Prize if it considers there has been an abuse or breach of these Terms and Conditions of this Prize Draw.
6.3. Canon will not accept responsibility for Prize Draw entries that are corrupted, not successfully completed or transmitted, lost, mislaid, damaged or delayed in transit, regardless of cause, including, for example, as a result of any equipment failure, technical malfunction, systems, satellite, network, server, website, computer hardware or software failure of any kind
6.4. Canon shall not be liable for any loss, damage or injury of any nature howsoever caused, sustained by any Participant under this promotion. However, nothing in these Terms and Conditions shall have the effect of excluding or restricting Canon’s liability for personal injury or death caused by the proven negligence of its employees or contractors.
6.5. In the event of a dispute over interpretation or implementation of the rules on any matter related to the free prize draw, the decision of the Directors of Canon is final and no correspondence will be entered into.
6.6. If any part of these Terms and Conditions is found by a court of competent jurisdiction or other competent authority to be invalid, unlawful or unenforceable, then such part shall be severed from the remainder of these conditions, which shall continue to be valid to the fullest extent permitted by law.
7. LAW AND JURISDICTION
These Terms and Conditions and this promotion are governed by English law. If any Participant wishes to bring court proceedings, then they must do this within the courts in the United Kingdom.
