Efficient spooling and scheduling

PRISMAsatellite offers highly efficient spooling and scheduling of jobs within ERP, CRD or convergent ERP/CRD environments. Productivity is greatly enhanced, thanks to optimised and automated document production scheduling combined with powerful load balancing. Schedule alterations can be made at any time to reflect business requirements. Jobs can also be scheduled in parallel, so you can print multiple copies at the same time on different printers.

BestChoice Printing automatically chooses the optimal device for delivering the required output in the shortest possible timeframe, while multi channel output is supported with separate queues for print and digital output. Regular jobs can also be kept in the system for easy reprinting, without the need to resubmit job details.

Intuitive operator control

With a single point of control to easily manage jobs, devices and queues, operators can effectively monitor device status and job progress. The console continuously reflects production with a schedule view that clearly shows the load per queue and allows simple task planning. Jobs are easily redirected using drag and drop control and you can redirect devices without modifying jobs. An easy to use software wizard helps guide the operator to the most efficient printing of multiple copies on multiple printers.

The dashboard helps in identifying and avoiding errors. A monitoring agent can be used to act upon potential errors while a job tracking agent tracks documents from submitting applications and allows client hosts to be updated about job progress. Jobs can also be re-run without resubmission from the client host, while detailed reporting of accounting information allows for full cost transparency.

Effective job processing

PRISMAsatellite accepts documents in different formats from multiple input channels. Incoming documents are identified on arrival via their properties or metadata, based on which they are redirected to the right schedule and the right queue – either as a single job or as multiple jobs delivered in parallel for a variety of processing. This may include document conversion, composition or separation and allows documents to be processed without modification of existing back-office applications. Multi-channel output options include paper, e-mail, fax or archive, facilitating the smooth transition from paper to digital output. Automated sorting and bundling helps save on manual labour costs.
