EXTENDED Canon (UK) i-SENSYS BUSINESS Cashback Promotion Terms & Conditions
1. PROMOTIONAL PRODUCTS, PROMOTIONAL PERIOD AND PARTICIPANTS
1.1. This promotion is only available on purchases made of any of the products listed below (the “Promotional Products”) within UK and Ireland Thursday 1st June 2017 to Thursday 30th November 2017 inclusive (the “Promotional Period”).
1.2. All Participants must be aged 18 or over and must be resident in the European Economic Area or Switzerland (EEA) (“Participant”). This Promotion is available for end users only and is not open to Canon resellers/partners.
1.3. All Participants are deemed to have agreed to be bound by these terms and conditions.
1.4. All products must be purchased within a UK and Ireland retailer/reseller, and must have been supplied and distributed to retailers by Canon UK and Ireland (“Canon”) or Canon group companies located in the EEA. Please check with your retailer/reseller that this is the case to help avoid disappointment. Internet stores must display a registered/postal address in UK and Ireland
1.5. All Promotional Products must be new and genuine Canon products. Purchases of second hand, refurbished or reconditioned products, or products which are counterfeit or infringe the intellectual property rights of the Canon group of companies in any way (for example, including but not limited to parallel or “grey” products) will not qualify under this promotion. 2. HOW TO PARTICIPATE
2.1. To enter the promotion, the Participant must purchase a Promotional Product within the UK or ROI from a UK or ROI retailer during the Promotional Period Thursday 1st June 2017 to Thursday 30th November 2017 2017
2.2. Claims must be submitted by fully and correctly completing (including specifying a valid EEA product serial number) a claim form online, at http://www.canon.co.uk/business-cashback. Participants will need to scan, upload and attach to the online claim form a copy of their till receipt, or order confirmation for internet purchases. Participants will then receive an email confirming that their claim has been received. If you do not receive a confirmation email within 24 hours of processing your claim, or do not have access to a computer, please either contact us via the following email firstname.lastname@example.org or contact our claim hotline on 0800 044 3251.
2.3. The Promotional Products are subject to availability while stocks last. Canon will not be liable for the failure of retailers to fulfill orders of Promotional Products during the Promotional Period.
2.4. Canon will not process any claims received after the closing date for receipt of claims of Saturday 30th December 2017. Canon will not process claims which are in its opinion incomplete or illegible. Canon will not be responsible for claims delayed or not successfully received.
2.5. The maximum number of Promotion Products which any Participant may claim a Reward for during the Promotion Period is ten (10).
2.6. Claims by participants who make bulk purchases (being more than 10 Promotional Products during the Promotional Period, other than where the relevant products are comprised in kits or bundles as described in clause 1.1) will not be eligible to enter this Promotion.
2.7. Claims must be submitted by the Participant and must not be made by resellers, agents or third parties.
2.8. This Promotion cannot be used in conjunction with special bid/tender pricing offered by Canon.
3.1. Participants will receive Cashback in the amounts shown for purchases of Promotional Products.
3.2. Upon receipt and verification of the claim, Canon will arrange for a direct BACS transfer payment to the Participant’s bank account. No alternative arrangement will be entered into and no cash or cheque will be provided.
3.3. Canon will endeavor to transfer via BACS within 28 days of receipt of a complete and valid claim.
3.4. Where a Participant fails to select one of the currencies offered on the claim form, one may be allocated at Canon’s absolute discretion.
3.5. Only one BACS payment will be issued per valid claim.
3.6. If you are UK or Ireland VAT registered and you receive a cashback, it may reduce the taxable value of your purchase and so you may need to reduce your input tax accordingly.
4. THE PROMOTER
4.1. The promoter is Canon (UK) Ltd. of Woodhatch, Reigate, Surrey, RH2 8BF.
5.1. To the fullest extent permitted by law, Canon shall not be liable for any loss, damage or injury of any nature howsoever caused, sustained by any Participant under this promotion. However, nothing in these rules shall have the effect of excluding or restricting Canon’s liability for personal injury or death caused by the proven negligence of Canon’s employees or agents.
5.2. Canon reserves the right to void, amend, and/or change this promotion at any time without incurring any liability whatsoever.
5.3. Canon reserves the right to audit any claims to ensure compliance with these terms and conditions and to request additional information and supporting documents. Canon reserves the right to exclude claims and/or Participants if it suspects that the promotion is being abused in any way. Canon’s decisions in relation to the promotion are final and no correspondence will be entered into.
6.1.Canon (UK) Ltd. is the Data Controller for the purpose of the Data Protection Act 1998 (“DPA”) in respect of any personal data supplied by individuals entering on behalf of Participants. Any personal information supplied will be used and processed by Canon, its agents or associated group companies solely for the purpose of administering the promotion, and for marketing purposes where Participants have opted-in to receive marketing communications from Canon
6.2.If Participants do not wish for their contact information to be used for marketing purposes or to enable Canon to contact them in future regarding similar promotions, they should NOT check the relevant “opt-in” box when completing the claim form.
6.3.The personal data provided is held securely and may be transferred on a secure server outside the EEA.
7. LAW AND JURISDICTION
These Terms and Conditions and any disputes arising out of or in connection with them shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England and will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the English courts.
