1.1.    The Canon Boardmasters Tips and Tricks session is a tutorial activity only available for the duration of Boardmasters Festival (the “Festival”) between Wednesday 10th August 2016 and Sunday 14th August 2016 from 09:00 to 18:00. Participating in this activity doesn’t gain participants access to any ticketed Boardmasters activities.
1.2.    All Participants must be aged 16 or over (“Participant”).
1.3.    All Participants are deemed to have agreed to be bound by these terms and conditions.


2.1.    To take part in Canon Boardmasters Tips and Tricks sessions, the Participants must submit their details and choose a time slot offered in order to secure a place.
2.2.    The participants will be required to provide a form of ID and agree to leave a debit/credit card as a security deposit for the duration of the session.


3.1.    All participants will be provided with a loan camera and a free SD card to capture imagery during their session.
3.2.    All participants will be taken on a walk with a Canon Photography Expert (“Canon guru”) to learn how they can improve their photography.
3.3.    All participants will have the right to keep their free SD cards, containing all the imagery they will have captured during their tutorial session.


4.1.    The organizer of the Canon Boardmasters Tips and Tricks sessions is Canon (UK) Ltd. of Woodhatch, Reigate, Surrey, RH2 8BF.  


5.1.    To the fullest extent permitted by law, Canon shall not be liable for any loss, damage or injury of any nature howsoever caused, sustained by any Participant. However, nothing in these rules shall have the effect of excluding or restricting Canon’s liability for personal injury or death caused by the proven negligence of Canon’s employees or agents.
5.2.    Canon reserves the right to void, amend, and/or change any of the Canon Boardmasters Tips and Tricks sessions at any time without incurring any liability whatsoever.  
5.3.    Canon reserves the right to exclude Participants if they perpetrate any abuse of equipment, abuse Canon staff or brand representative or any other participants. Canon’s decisions in relation to the Tips and Tricks sessions are final and no correspondence will be entered into.
5.4.    Should any Participants not return their loan camera, Canon reserves the right to charge their swiped payment card with the current Recommended Retail Price of the loan camera.

6.    DATA

6.1.    Canon (UK) Ltd. is the Data Controller for the purpose of the Data Protection Act 1998 (“DPA”) in respect of any personal data supplied by Participants. Any personal data submitted to us will be processed by Canon (UK) Limited, its agents or associated group companies for the purpose of administering this Event, including taking credit card details by way of security against imaging equipment provided by Canon for use in the Tips and Tricks sessions.
6.2.    The personal data provided is held securely and may be transferred on a secure server outside the EEA.


These terms and conditions and any disputes arising out of or in connection with them shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England and will be subject to the non-exclusive jurisdiction of the English courts.
