Providing guests with an insight into Canon’s unique range of technologies and solutions, Canon EXPO 2015 (13-15 October, Paris) will demonstrate how, from image capture through to output, products can interconnect to enrich both lives and businesses through imaging experiences.
With a dedicated zone for professional photographers, videographers and print service providers, Canon EXPO’s ‘PROFESSIONAL’ hub brings to life real-world scenarios for a truly experiential and informative three-day event.
In the PROFESSIONAL zone, visitors can step into various live settings and gather insights into how Canon’s emerging technologies and solutions are addressing current business trends. These live settings include:
Bicycle launch: From the viewpoint of a Head of Creative Services for an international media and advertising agency, this area depicts a modern, multi-platform product launch process that spans print, video, photography, cross-media and social networking. Visitors will be immersed in the creative world, addressing the challenges of reaching diverse customers through different media with engaging content created with Canon’s range of products – extending uniquely from image capture through to output. Visitors can witness, and take part in, the end-to-end production of both printed and digital content, from personalised marketing collateral to product photography, wide format print and moving image.
EXPO Daily News / Canon Live TV: Through the eyes of a News Editor tasked with reporting on a live event, this area takes visitors into the hustle and bustle of a live newsroom and broadcast TV/editing studio. Commentating on the EXPO event as it unfolds, visitors will see a diverse content mix being produced simultaneously by on-site journalists comprising vox pop video interviews, broadcast news reports, a daily show newspaper and photobooks depicting ‘the EXPO story’.
Making movies: Bringing a touch of Hollywood to Paris, this area takes visitors directly behind the scenes of a film set showing real-life camera set-ups, cinema lens capabilities and 4K monitoring. Here, visitors can watch and participate in live film production and experience what it’s like to make a movie.
Print Services: Acting as both an extension of the creative teams within the PROFESSIONAL zone and a CRD for the wider EXPO event, this area portrays the evolution of a traditional printer into a modern-day marketing service provider. Visitors here will observe the progressive role of a PSP supporting the development of print and digital content from a creative services perspective, in tandem with delivering more traditional print output from content produced during the event, including branded collateral, photobooks and the show’s own daily newspaper.
