Canon has expanded its imagePROGRAF series with the addition of five new large format printers that will serve the needs of print service providers (PSPs) and in-house print rooms in architecture, engineering and construction (AEC) and other CAD environments.
High-volume, continuous printing
The capabilities of the Canon imagePROGRAF iPF830, iPF840 and iPF850 models reflect the fast-paced nature of businesses that work for or in the AEC industries. They require accurate CAD drawings and other technical applications in large volumes, quickly and to a high standard, and the fast speeds and high throughput of these devices ensure end-users have essential prints when they need them.
The iPF840 and iPF850 models also feature dual-roll capacity to simultaneously handle various types of media with widths up to 44-inches (1117.6mm), as well as automatic paper switching to move between jobs with ease. In addition, the iPF850 model comes with a high capacity stacker that allows for quick and easy collection of documents and removes the threat of damage via curling.
The imagePROGRAF iPF670 (24-inch / 610mm) and iPF770 (36-inch / 914mm) models are aimed at supporting small to medium print businesses and in-house print rooms in both the CAD and display graphics markets. While the purpose of their print work may differ, both need the quality, speed and flexibility of higher-grade machines without the large investment. The iPF770 model also comes as a multifunction printer (MFP), with an optional large format scanner and 22-inch (558.8mm) touchscreen display attachment.
Fast, efficient and easy-to-use, these five-colour devices feature enhanced ink systems for superior image reproduction. New High Chroma magenta ink allows for a wider colour gamut specifically intended to print more vivid reds for clarity in CAD drawings and indoor point-of-sale signage, while two black pigment ink tanks deliver richer, sharper blacks.
The devices also enable users to view and print files directly from mobile devices, making them ideal for construction sites and other architecture scenarios. In-built accounting tools also enable small businesses to manage their costs.
