Canon Business Account FAQs

Any individual registered as a business or any company who use Canon equipment. For anyone not eligilble (hobbyists), please consider applying to Canon Club.

Please visit canon.co.uk/business-account and click on "Sign up". The form may take around 15 minutes to complete and it’s mandatory to provide your business documents such as a VAT certificate or another business document.

Yes, Non-VAT registered business entity can register and are required to provide any of these documents: Business invoice (recent up to 3 month) with Business Name and address, or Tax registration certificate, or Sole trader/Self employed registration certificate. The document must clearly display your company name and business address.

As per business compliancy procedures we are required to validate your Canon business account with help of your official VAT registration document.

The reason for this is that you are creating the Business Account with Canon which will give you access to Business exclusive pricing, solutions, and services.

Some of the services that we offer are sold cross-border and therefore we must validate that company is valid for reverse charge VAT principle.

The document we are requesting would not be available publicly, which would protect your company from unauthorised creation of the Business Account.

For VAT reg business you will need to provide ONE of the following: a Vat certificate with company name and VAT number CLEARLY VISIBLE on the document OR a business invoice with VAT number CLEARLY VISIBLE on the document. For NON-VAT business, please provide ANY of these documents: Business invoice (recent up to 3 month) with Business Name and address, or Tax registration certificate, or Sole trader/Self employed registration certificate. The document must clearly display your company name and business address. If you are concerned about sharing your client's details when sending a business invoice, you can block out their details leaving only your Company Name, Address and VAT number clearly visible to us.

Submitting your application will take about 15 mins. Please have the documents you require available.

The creation of a Canon Business Account may take between 24 to 48 hours (or 2 business days) to allow for validation of your company's information (VAT registration where applicable) and set up your company in our finance systems.

Our office hours are Monday to Friday 9am-5pm GMT. If you application is submitted on a weekend, please note it will not be checked or processed until the next working business day.

All Business Accounts are created in conjunction with Canon’s Web Terms & Conditions, Business ID Terms of Use and Business Privacy Policy and Data Protection principles.

Yes this is possible.

Following successful creation of their Business ID, customers can visit our Business Account login page here: https://businessaccount.canon-europe.com/

Superusers or Users will receive an email asking them to log in and then reset their password on their first visit/log in.

A Business account can have up to 10 superusers.

Benefits of Canon Business Account are: multi-user finctionality, business payment terms, Net pricing (excl. VAT where applicable), access to Business-only services.

No, you will not get access to Business store (Webshop) or Office and Production Self-Service Portal. Repair Request for Photo, video and Small/Home Office print products.
