Terms and Conditions

1. CANON AND PARTICIPANTS
1.1 This free prize draw (“Prize Draw”) is run by Canon (UK) Limited of 4 Roundwood Avenue, Stockley Park, Uxbridge UB11 1AF (“Canon”).
1.2 All entrants (“Participants”) must be United Kingdom residents aged 18 or over.
1.3 Employees of Canon, its subsidiary companies, their families, agents and other parties directly involved with this promotion and the sponsorship are not eligible to enter.
1.4 By entering this Prize Draw , all Participants are deemed to have agreed to be bound by these terms and conditions unless notified otherwise in writing.

2. PRIZE DRAW AND HOW TO PARTICIPATE
2.1 The entry period for the Prize Draw opens on 24th January 2024 at 09:00 GMT and closes at midnight GMT on 26th January 2024 (the “Entry Period”). The draw to pick the winner shall take place on the 29th January 2024.
2.2 To enter the Prize Draw to win the Prize (as defined at Clause 3 below), Participants must visit the Canon stand at BETT (UK) 2024 @ ExCeL London , scan the Prize Draw QR code provided on the poster related to this Prize Draw displayed at the stand and submit their contact details via an on-line form during the Entry Period (an “Entry”). The Prize will be awarded to the school/college or university that the Participant represents at the BETT (UK) 2024 show and the school/college/university stated on the Entry.
2.3 One Entry per one person.
2.4 Entries received after expiry of the Entry Period will not be eligible to be entered into the Prize Draw. Canon reserves the right to disqualify incomplete, invalid, inappropriate or illegible Entries.

3. THE PRIZE
3.1 One winner (the “Winner”) will be randomly drawn from all valid Entries received throughout the Entry Period. The draw to pick the winner shall take place on the 29th January 2024.
3.2 The Winner will receive for its nominated school/college/university stated on the Entry; six (6) x Canon EOS R100 Mirrorless Cameras, six (6) x Canon RF-S 18-45mm F4.5-6.3 IS STM Lenses, six (6) Canon RF 50mm F1.8 STM Lens, one (1) Canon imagePROGRAF PRO-300 A3 Printer, one (1) digital copy of Canon’s visual storytelling toolkit and one (1) day in person workshop with Canon (together the “Prize”).
3.4 The Prize is non-transferable, and no cash or credit alternatives will be substituted for the Prize on offer. In the event that the Prize offered is unavailable due to circumstances beyond our control, Canon reserves the right to offer an alternative prize of equal or greater value.

4. THE SELECTION
4.1 The Winner will be selected from all eligible Entries using a random number generator and the Winner’s entry confirmed by Canon.
4.2 Canon will inform the Winner of the Prize by email via the email address used for the Entry. Canon will contact the Winner as soon as practicable on the 29th January 2024 via the email address submitted.
4.3 Winner shall confirm they are happy to claim the Prize (within 10 working days) via email reply;
4.4 Winner will liaise with Canon to confirm the date and address for delivery of the Prize within 10 working days of being notified. The Prize will be couriered to the Winner.
4.5 If Canon receives any rejected or unclaimed Prize from the Winner within 10 working days of attempting to make contact by email, the original announced winner will forfeit their Prize.
4.6 The Prize may be awarded to another Participant t using a random number generator at the absolute and sole discretion of Canon.
4.7 The Prize is provided to the Winner of the Prize Draw in good faith by Canon. If a Winner is unable to accept the Prize for any reason, then Canon must be notified as soon as possible.
4.8 Canon must either publish or make available information that indicates that a valid award took place. To comply with this obligation Canon will send the surname and county of the Winner and, if applicable copies of their winning entry, to anyone who emails customer.marketing@cuk.canon.co.uk or writes to Canon (UK) Limited at its registered office address (enclosing a self-addressed envelope) within one month after the Entry Period stated in condition 2.1. If you object to any or all of your surname, county and winning entry being published or made available, please contact Canon at competitions@cuk.canon.co.uk. In such circumstances, Canon must still provide the information and winning entry to the Advertising Standards Authority on request.

5. PERSONAL DATA
5.1 Any personal data submitted to Canon will be processed by Canon and its agents or associated group companies for the purpose of administering this Prize Draw.
5.2 Participants may be contacted by Canon for the purposes of administrating the Prize Draw or in the event that Canon wishes to discuss any other use of the information submitted to the Prize Draw.
5.3 Canon (UK) Limited of 4 Roundwood Avenue, Stockley Park Uxbridge UB11 1AF are the Data Controller in respect of any personal data supplied by Participants.
5.4 The personal data provided is held securely and may be transferred on a secure server outside the EEA and the UK. For further details on how Participants’ information is protected please see the Canon Consumer Privacy Policy http://www.canon.co.uk/privacy-policy/

6. DISCLAIMER
6.1 In exceptional circumstances, Canon may void the Prize and/or change other promotional conditions provided that such changes are necessary and can be justified by objective reasons.
6.2 Canon reserves the right to refuse to honour any entry or to recover the full value of any Prize if it considers there has been an abuse or breach of the terms and conditions of this Prize Draw.
6.3 Canon shall not be liable for any loss, damage or injury of any nature howsoever caused, sustained by any Participant under this Prize Draw. However, nothing in these Terms shall have the effect of excluding or restricting Canon’s liability for personal injury or death caused by the proven negligence of its employees or contractors.
6.4 In the event of a dispute over interpretation or implementation of the rules on any matter related to the Prize Draw, the decision of the Directors of Canon is final and no correspondence will be entered into.
6.5 If any part of these conditions is found by a court of competent jurisdiction or other competent authority to be invalid, unlawful or unenforceable, then such part shall be severed from the remainder of these conditions, which shall continue to be valid to the fullest extent permitted by law.

7. LAW AND JURISDICTION
The Prize Draw will be governed by English law and entrants to this Prize Draw submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of the English courts.
