Its optimized composition and bulk make it ideal for both high-quality and high-speed copying and printing.   • What makes our Red Label Zero paper sustainable?

    Red Label Zero paper is made from FSC® (Forest Stewardship Council) certified fibers and produced in mills with low CO2 emissions, setting the standard for sustainability. The Red Label Zero range is designed with a cradle-to-customer approach to minimize CO2 emissions throughout the product lifecycle. Canon is committed to reduce emissions during manufacturing. The unavoidable CO2 emissions, which come mainly from transportation, are compensated by investments in certified renewable energy projects, such as wind and hydro power installations.

  • Isn’t recycled paper the most sustainable paper?

    Recycled paper is often seen as more sustainable, but it’s not always the most environmentally friendly option when you consider the full lifecycle and CO2 emissions.

    Canon Red Label Zero paper Recycled paper
    Made from virgin wood fibers, including freshly harvested trees and wood waste from nearby mills. No trees are used; made from recycled paper pulp.
    Responsible forestry management ensures that for every tree harvested for paper production, a new tree is planted to maintain a sustainable cycle. Paper fibers can only be reused a limited number of times losing strength and require a steady supply of virgin fiber to maintain the recycling loop.
    Sustainable with CO2 offset programs and responsible sourcing practices. Requires collection, transportation, sorting, and cleaning, which can result in up to 10% higher CO2 emissions compared to virgin fiber paper. Source: German Environment Agency
