Terms and Conditions

1. CANON AND PARTICIPANTS
1.1 This free prize draw (“Prize Draw”) is run by Canon (UK) Limited of 4 Roundwood Avenue, Stockley Park, Uxbridge UB11 1AF (“Canon”).
1.2 All entrants (“Participants”) must be United Kingdom residents aged 18 or over and a member of the Canon Club.
1.3 Employees of Canon, its subsidiary companies, their families, agents and other parties directly involved with this promotion and the sponsorship are not eligible to enter.
1.4 By entering this competition, all Participants are deemed to have agreed to be bound by these terms and conditions unless notified otherwise in writing.

2. PRIZE DRAW AND HOW TO PARTICIPATE
2.1 The entry period for the Prize Draw opens on 22nd September 2023 at 00:01 and closes at midnight on 12th October 2023 (the “Entry Period”). The draw to pick the winner shall take place on the 13th October 2023.
2.2 To enter the Prize Draw to win the Prize (as defined at Clause 3 below), Participants must visit the dedicated Canon campaign page at https://www.canon.co.uk//competition/canonclub-christmas-prizedraw-2023 and submit their contact details via an on-line entry form during the Entry Period (an “Entry”).
2.3 There is a limit of one Entry per one person. Entries from Participants who have already entered into the Canon Prize Draw ‘Luminate Birmingham’ event on 16 December 2023 will not be accepted.
2.4 Entries received after expiry of the Entry Period will not be eligible to be entered into the Prize Draw. Canon reserves the right to disqualify incomplete or illegible Entries.

3. THE PRIZE
3.1 Five winners (each a “Winner”) will be randomly drawn from all valid Entries received throughout the Entry Period.
3.2 Each of the five Winners will receive one family ticket (2 adults and 2 child tickets) to the ‘Christmas at Kew’ event on 19 November 2023 (the “Prize”).
3.3 The Prize is non-transferable, and no cash or credit alternatives will be substituted for the Prize on offer. In the event that the Prize offered is unavailable due to circumstances beyond our control, Canon reserves the right to offer an alternative prize of equal or greater value.

3.5 The Prize is subject to all applicable ticket terms and conditions and venue entry conditions.
3.6 Canon will have no liability to the Winners and any of their guests if any of the Winners and/or any of their guests are unable to receive the full benefit of the Prize tickets or are denied entry to the venue or asked to leave the venue as a result of failure to observe the ticket terms and conditions and/or venue entry conditions.

4. THE SELECTION
4.1 The Winners will be selected from all eligible Entries using a random number generator and the Winners’ entries confirmed by Canon.
4.2 Canon will contact each Winner as soon as practicable after midnight on the 12th October 2023 but not later than the 18th October 2023 via the email address submitted in their Entry.
4.3 If Canon receives any rejected or unclaimed Prize from any of the Winners within 7 working days of attempting to make contact by email, the original announced Winner will forfeit their Prize.
4.4 The Prize may be awarded to other Participants at the absolute and sole discretion of Canon.
4.5 The Prize will be e-mailed to the Winners not later than the 10th November 2023.
4.6 The Prize is as stated when published.
4.7 The Prize is provided to the Winners of this Prize Draw in good faith by Canon. If any Winner is unable to accept the Prize for any reason, then Canon must be notified as soon as possible.
4.8 Canon must either publish or make available information that indicates that a valid award took place. To comply with this obligation Canon will send the surname and county of major prize winners and, if applicable copies of their winning entries, to anyone who emails canonclub@cuk.canon.co.uk or writes to Canon (UK) Limited at its registered office address (enclosing a self-addressed envelope) within one month after the closing date stated in Clause 2.1. If a Participant objects to any or all of their surname, county and winning entry being published or made available, please contact Canon at canonclub@cuk.canon.co.uk. In such circumstances, Canon must still provide the information and winning entry to the Advertising Standards Authority on request.

5. PERSONAL DATA
5.1 Any personal data submitted to Canon will be processed by Canon and its agents or associated group companies for the purpose of administering this Prize Draw.
5.2 Participants may be contacted by Canon for the purposes of administrating the Prize Draw or in the event that Canon wishes to discuss any other use of the information submitted to Prize Draw.
5.3 Canon Europa N.V., 59 Bovenkerkerweg, 1185 XB, the Netherlands (“CENV”) and Canon (UK) Ltd, 4 Roundwood Avenue, Stockley Park, UB11 1AF, Uxbridge, United Kingdom are the Data Controller in respect of any personal data supplied by Participants.
5.4 The personal data provided is held securely and may be transferred on a secure server outside the EEA and the UK. 6. DISCLAIMER
6.1 In exceptional circumstances, Canon may void the Prize and/or change other terms and conditions provided that such changes are necessary and can be justified by objective reasons.
6.2 Canon reserves the right to refuse to honour any Entry or to recover the full value of any Prize if it considers there has been an abuse or breach of the terms and conditions of this Prize Draw.
6.3 Canon shall not be liable for any loss, damage or injury of any nature howsoever caused, sustained by any Participant under this Prize Draw. However, nothing in these terms and conditions shall have the effect of excluding or restricting Canon’s liability for personal injury or death caused by the proven negligence of its employees or contractors.
6.4 In the event of a dispute over interpretation or implementation of the rules on any matter related to the Prize Draw, the decision of the Directors of Canon is final and no correspondence will be entered into.
6.5 If any part of these terms and conditions is found by a court of competent jurisdiction or other competent authority to be invalid, unlawful or unenforceable, then such part shall be severed from the remainder of these conditions, which shall continue to be valid to the fullest extent permitted by law.

7. LAW AND JURISDICTION
The Prize Draw will be governed by English law and entrants to this Prize Draw submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of the English courts.
