SKY ARTS' MASTER OF PHOTOGRAPHY FREE PRIZE DRAW

1. CANON AND PARTICIPANTS

1.1. This competition is run by Canon UK, Woodhatch, Reigate, RH2 8BF (“Canon”).

1.2. All entrants (“Participants”) must be UK residents aged 18 or over.

1.3. Employees of Canon, its subsidiary companies, their families, agents and other parties directly involved with this promotion and the sponsorship are not eligible to enter.

1.4. By entering this competition, all participants are deemed to have agreed to be bound by these terms and conditions unless notified otherwise in writing.

2. PRIZE DRAW AND HOW TO PARTICIPATE

2.1. The free prize draw will be held at Canon UK that will be running from 20/06/19 to 07/07/19.

2.2. There is one prize package to be won. To be entered into the free prize draw to win 1 x Sky Q TV subscription for 12 months, including: 1 x Sky Q Complete Bundle TV package including Sky Sports Complete and Sky Cinema and 1 x Sky Q Multiscreen subscription, entrants must complete and submit a valid entry form at canon.co.uk/mastersofphotography between XX/06/19 and 07/07/19.

2.3. Only one entry per person is permitted.

2.4. Entries received after the close date will not be eligible to be entered into this Free Prize Draw. Canon reserves the right to disqualify incomplete or illegible data capture cards.

3. THE PRIZE

3.1. The winner will be randomly drawn from all valid entries received.

3.2. The winner will receive 1 x Sky Q TV subscription for 12 months, including: 1 x Sky Q Complete Bundle TV package including Sky Sports Complete and Sky Cinema, 1 x Sky Q Multiscreen subscription, Free standard installation provided by Sky (“the Prize”), Sky will also loan the prize winner 1 x Sky Q 2TB box and 1 x Sky Q Mini box at no charge for the first 12 month subscription period, subject to Sky Terms and Conditions available from Sky upon request./p>

3.3 The following terms shall apply to the Prize:

        3.3.1. If you are the winner you will be required to enter into four (4) subscription contracts with Sky for the minimum term of 12 months (one for Sky Entertainment, one for Sky Sports Complete, one for Sky Cinema, one for Sky Q Multiscreen). After         expiry of the winner’s first 12 months’ free viewing, unless the winner cancels their subscription in accordance with the applicable Sky subscription contract, standard subscription charges will apply and be payable in full by the winner.

        3.3.2. The winner will need Sky Q installed by Sky even if the winner already has a Sky dish. Non-standard installations will be subject to a charge by Sky (see Sky’s Terms and Conditions for details, available at Sky.com).

        3.3.3. The winner will receive a letter 30 days before their prize is due to expire offering them the chance to cancel their subscription.

        3.3.4. The winner will be required to return their Sky Q box and Sky Q mini box upon request if the contract expires or the ongoing subscription changes affecting use of these products.

        3.3.5. The winner must redeem the Prize within 12 months. Failure to do so may result in loss of the Prize.

3.4. The Prize is non-transferable, and no cash or credit alternatives will be substituted for the prize on offer. In the event that the prize offered is unavailable due to circumstances beyond our control, Canon reserves the right to offer an alternative prize of equal or greater value.

4. THE SELECTION

4.1. Using a random number generator, the winner will be selected from all eligible entries and the winner’s name confirmed by Canon.

4.2. Canon will publish the information on the winner on 08/07/19 and then contact the winner via the email address submitted on the data capture form in order to obtain delivery details for the prize.

4.3. If Canon receives any rejected or unclaimed prize from the winner within 7 days of attempting to make contact by email, the original announced winner will forfeit their prize.

4.4. The Prize may be awarded to other entrants at the absolute and sole discretion of Canon.

4.5. Sky will contact the winner directly to arrange the prize delivery and set-up. Sky Terms and Conditions available on request by emailing CRMDataAnalytics@canon-europe.com

4.6. The Prize is as stated when published.

4.7. The Prize is provided to the winners of the Free Prize Draw in good faith by the Canon. If a winner is unable to accept the Prize for any reason, then Canon must be notified as soon as possible.

5. PERSONAL DATA

5.1. Canon Europa N.V., 59 Bovenkerkerweg, 1185 XB, the Netherlands, is the Data Controller in respect of any personal data supplied by Participants. The personal data provided is held securely and may be transferred on a secure server outside the EEA. The personal data collected from Participants is subject to the Canon Consumer Privacy Policy (https://myid.canon/canonid/#/policy).

5.2. You will be contacted by Canon for the purposes of administrating the free prize draw or in the event that Canon wishes to discuss any other use of the information submitted to the free prize draw.

5.3. Canon must either publish or make available information that indicates that a valid award took place. To comply with this obligation Canon will send the surname and county of major prize winners and, if applicable copies of their winning entries, to anyone who emails CRMDataAnalytics@canon-europe.com or writes to Master of Photography Prize Draw, ITCG Channel Marketing, Canon UK, Woodhatch, Reigate, RH2 8BF within one month after the closing date stated in condition 2.1. If you object to any or all of your surname, county and winning entry being published or made available, please contact CRMDataAnalytics@canon-europe.com. In such circumstances, Canon must still provide the information and winning entry to the Advertising Standards Authority on request.

6. DISCLAIMER

6.1. In exceptional circumstances, Canon may void the Prize and/or change other promotional conditions provided that such changes are necessary and can be justified by objective reasons.

6.2. Canon reserves the right to refuse to honour any entry or to recover the full value of any prize if it considers there has been an abuse or breach of the terms and conditions of this free prize draw.

6.3. Canon shall not be liable for any loss, damage or injury of any nature howsoever caused, sustained by any participant under this promotion. However, nothing in these Terms shall have the effect of excluding or restricting Canon’s liability for personal injury or death caused by the proven negligence of its employees or contractors.

6.4. In the event of a dispute over interpretation or implementation of the rules on any matter related to the free prize draw, the decision of the Directors of Canon is final, and no correspondence will be entered into.

6.5. If any part of these conditions is found by a court of competent jurisdiction or other competent authority to be invalid, unlawful or unenforceable, then such part shall be severed from the remainder of these conditions, which shall continue to be valid to the fullest extent permitted by law.

7. LAW AND JURISDICTION

The prize draw will be governed by English law and entrants to the prize draw submit to the non-exclusive jurisdiction of the English courts.

2.3.2 Community Chatter/Comments/Forum Posts

This section comprises any content submitted by you through Canon's online channels and forums, which is processed for the following purposes:

  • To help solve any issues you might have:
    • We scan through forum activity for keywords to identify users experiencing difficulties with our products and pro-actively support them.
  • To protect our users and Canon:
    • We moderate although we have no obligation to delete the items posted on Canon forums, in order to detect any inappropriate content.
    • We can monitor any unusual or suspicious activity on our Services to detect and avoid hijacking of your account.

When you use social login, we retrieve basic profile information from your chosen social identity provider for the following purposes:
