1. THE PROMOTER

The promoter is Canon Europa N.V., registered at Bovenkerkerweg 59, 1185 XB, Amstelveen, the Netherlands.

2. PROMOTIONAL PRODUCTS, PROMOTIONAL PERIOD AND PARTICIPANTS

2.1. All Participants must be aged 18 or over and must be resident in the European Economic Area, Switzerland or the United Kingdom (EEA) (“Participant”).

2.2. All Participants are deemed to have agreed to be bound by these terms and conditions.

2.3. This promotion is only available to Participants:

a. That already own a product categorised as Canon Professional Equipment (“Eligible Product ”), a full list of all the eligible products may be found at the end of these terms and conditions in Table 1: Eligible Products Participants must own; and

b. Must purchase any of the promotional products listed at the end of these terms and conditions in Table 2: Promotional Products (the “Promotional Products”) from a retailer within The Territory (as defined in 2.4) from 1st July 2021 to 31.12.2021 inclusive (the “Promotional Period”).

2.4. All Promotional Products must be purchased from retailers located within the following countries Andorra, Austria, Belgium, Denmark, Germany, The Netherlands, France, Finland, Italy, Norway, Portugal, Republic of Ireland, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, United Kingdom, Lichtenstein, Luxemburg and Monaco or from an Internet store with a domain or a registered address in any of the countries listed above ( the “Territory”) , and must have been supplied and distributed to retailers by Canon or Canon group companies located in the EEA, Lichtenstein, Switzerland or the United Kingdom. Please check with your retailer that this is the case to help avoid disappointment. Internet stores must display a registered/postal address in the Territory.

2.5. All Promotional Products must be new and genuine Canon products. Purchases of second hand, refurbished or reconditioned products, or products which are counterfeit or infringe the intellectual property rights of the Canon group of companies in any way (for example, including but not limited to parallel or “grey” products) will not qualify under this promotion. The Eligible Products already owned by the Participants does not need to be new, but must be a genuine Canon product and must have been supplied and distributed by Canon or Canon group companies located in the EEA, Lichtenstein, Switzerland or the United Kingdom.

3. HOW TO PARTICIPATE

3.1. To enter the promotion, the Participant must fulfil the criteria described in section 2 above AND submit a valid claim online between 1st July 2021 and 31st January 2022 inclusive.

3.2. Please complete the following to make a claim:

a. Fully and correctly complete (including specifying a valid EEA product serial number for both the Eligible Products and the Promotional Products) a claim form online, at [https://canon-cinema-lens.sales-promotions.com/en_gb/?country_promotion=2]. For help on where to find your serial number please click here.

b. Participants will need to scan, upload and attach to the online claim form a copy of their till receipt, or order confirmation for internet purchases (including VAT) of the Promotional Products. Participants will then receive an email confirming that their claim has been received. If you do not receive a confirmation email within 24 hours of processing your claim, or do not have access to a computer, please contact our Claim Hotline on +44 800 044 3251 or you may send an email to cashback@claim-lookup.com.

3.3. The Promotional Products are subject to availability while stocks last. Canon will not be liable for the failure of retailers to fulfil orders of Promotional Products during the Promotional Period.

3.4. Canon will not process any claims received after the closing date of 31st January 2022 for receipt of claims. Canon will not process claims which are in its opinion incomplete or illegible. Canon will not be responsible for claims delayed or not successfully received.

3.5. If Participants purchase more than one Promotional Product, please note only one claim per Promotional Product purchased may be submitted at a time.

3.6. Claims by businesses or individuals who make bulk purchases (being more than 10 Promotional Products during the Promotional Period, other than where the relevant products are comprised in kits or bundles as described in clause 1.1) will not be eligible to enter this Promotion.

3.7. This promotion is available in conjunction with only one (1) additional local lens cashback promotion. However, kindly note, if Participants have claimed the Free ZSG-C10 with the purchase of a Canon Compact Cine Servo Lens, it cannot be redeemed concurrently with this promotion.

4. CASHBACK

4.1. Participants will receive cashback in the amounts shown for purchases of Promotional Products.

4.2. Upon receipt and verification of the claim, Canon will arrange for a direct BACS transfer payment to the Participant’s bank account. No alternative arrangement will be entered into and no cash or cheque will be provided.

4.3. Canon will endeavour to transfer via BACS within 28 days of receipt of a complete and valid claim.

4.4. Where a Participant fails to select one of the currencies offered on the claim form, one may be allocated at Canon’s absolute discretion.

4.5. Only one BACS payment will be issued per valid claim.

4.6. If you are VAT registered and you receive a cashback, it may reduce the taxable value of your purchase and so you may need to reduce your input tax accordingly.

5. DISCLAIMERS

5.1. To the fullest extent permitted by law, Canon shall not be liable for any loss, damage or injury of any nature howsoever caused, sustained by any Participant under this promotion. However, nothing in these rules shall have the effect of excluding or restricting Canon’s liability for personal injury or death caused by the proven negligence of Canon’s employees or agents.

5.2. In exceptional circumstances, Canon may void, amend, and/or change other promotional conditions without incurring any liability whatsoever provided that such changes are necessary and can be justified by objective reasons.

5.3. Canon reserves the right to audit any claims to ensure compliance with these terms and conditions and to request additional information and supporting documents. Canon reserves the right to exclude claims and/or Participants if it suspects that the promotion is being abused in any way. Canon’s decisions in relation to the promotion are final and no correspondence will be entered into.

5.4. If any part of these conditions is found by a court of competent jurisdiction or other competent authority to be invalid, unlawful or unenforceable, then such part shall be severed from the remainder of these conditions, which shall continue to be valid to the fullest extent permitted by law.

6. DATA PRIVACY

6.1 Canon Europa N.V., 59 Bovenkerkerweg, 1185 XB, The Netherlands, is the Data Controller in respect of any personal data supplied by Participants. The personal data provided is held securely and may be transferred on a secure server outside the EEA and the United Kingdom. The personal data collected from Participants is subject to the Canon Consumer Data Privacy Policy.

6.2 For the purposes of administering this promotion, Benamic Unlimited Company (previously known as Interpay Sales Promotions), having its principal place of business at IDA Business & Technology Park, Ring Road, Kilkenny, Ireland, is a Data Processor in respect of any personal data supplied by Participants to Canon.

The cashback payment will be made by Benamic’s third-party suppliers:

a) Transfermate (GBP, CHF, CZK, DKK, NOK, PLN payments)

b) Hyperwallet (HUF, SEK payments)

7. LAW AND JURISDICTION

As You are a participating consumer, laws of your country of residence will apply to this Promotion, and You may be entitled to bring court proceedings in your own language and in your local courts. A local consumer advice organization will be able to advise you on your rights. These Terms do not restrict any statutory rights that may be applicable.
