Canon announces virtual speaker line-up for The Photography Show & The Video Show Virtual Festival 2020

London, United Kingdom, 4ᵗʰ September 2020 – From family portraiture to fashion, sports and wildlife photography, Canon’s virtual stage at this year’s TPS will deliver both inspirational and educational talks for aspiring and established photographers alike.

With the newly launched EOS R5 and EOS R6 cameras under its belt, Canon is excited to share a line-up of experienced and eclectic photographers who will deliver talks including ‘15 Cool things about the EOS R5 and R6’; ‘Choosing your ideal compact, mirrorless or DSLR camera’; and ’Photographing blue whales, sharks, seals and sea-lions’ to name a few.


The speaker line-up includes:


David Noton


Canon Ambassador David Noton specialises in landscape and travel photography. With over 35 years’ experience as a professional photographer he has travelled to just about every corner of the globe. His passion for photography, travel and the world’s most beautiful places are the defining influences that have shaped David’s life, work and creative approach to photography.


Wanda Martin


London based photographer and film maker Wanda Martin works in the fashion and music industry. Having graduated with a MA Honours in Photography from London College of Fashion, her clients include magazines such as VOGUE, Numero, Dazed, i-D, Wonderland and Glamour, along with brands such as Marc Jacobs, Dior, Burberry and Diesel. Originally from Hungary, Wanda also graduated with a BA Honours from Moholy-Nagy University of Art and Design in Fine Art Photography and at Eotvos Lorand University Budapest in Aesthetics, Film History and Theory. She became a European Canon Ambassador in early 2019.


Mark Carwardine


Zoologist Mark Carwardine is a widely published wildlife photographer and an outspoken environmentalist. He was chair of the judging panel of the prestigious ‘Wildlife Photographer of the Year’ competition for seven years and was selected as one of ‘The World’s 40 Most Influential Nature Photographers’ in Outdoor Photography magazine.


Eddie Keogh


Canon Ambassador Eddie Keogh has 35 years’ worth of experience photographing sport. He's travelled the world, photographing sporting events, and is the official photographer for the England football team. Eddie also shoots Premier League football for Reuters and international rugby for England’s main sponsor O2. 


Linda Blacker


Linda Blacker is a portrait, campaign and fine art photographer based near London. Her work has a unique style, intertwining fantasy and reality to create eye-catching, colourful results that truly capture the imagination. Linda’s work is incredibly varied, she shoots everything from stripped back portraits, to photographs inspired by fairy tales. She also creates campaigns as well as truly emotive pieces inspired by personal experiences and social commentary.


Helen Bartlett


Canon Ambassador Helen Bartlett firmly believes that photographing family life is the most fun thing you can do with a camera. As one of the UK’s most respected family photographers, her timeless black and white images capture the natural joys of childhood. Dedicated to telling stories by freezing a unique moment in time, Helen loves the energy, challenge and creativity of her work.


Tina Eisen


Tina Eisen is an editorial and commercial beauty photographer based in London who has worked with clients such as MaxFactor, Sephora, Ciate, Boots, Superdrug, Harvey Nichols, ASOS, Amazon and numerous other well-known brands and magazines.


Tina is a regular speaker and educator and is regularly showcasing her craft at national and international trade shows.


Sanjay Jogia


Sanjay is an internationally acclaimed, award-winning photographer. He has photographed some of the most luxurious weddings across Europe, India, Africa and the United States, making him one of the most sought-after luxury wedding photographers in the industry. Known for his unconventional creativity and timeless style, Sanjay travels the world as a photographer, educator, mentor, judge and Canon Ambassador.


David Newton


Professional photographer and filmmaker, David Newton has been taking pictures for more years than he is willing to admit. A simple love for the art of capturing beautiful scenes, David doesn’t limit himself to just one subject or genre and prefers to photograph anything that catches his eye. He is best known for travel, landscape and wildlife. The former technical editor of both EOS Magazine and Canon Professional Network, he has led workshops on Canon cameras, lenses and flashguns all around the world.


Andy Farrer


Andy Farrer is a full-time landscape photographer from Dorset. The dramatic scenery of the United Kingdom and the thrill of travel fuel Andy’s passion for photographing the natural world. His keen eye for composition earned him the prestigious title of 'Landscape Photographer of the Year' in 2015. The art of printing is one of the aspects of photography that gave Andy the bug and is something he still enjoys. To the extent that he has set up a professional fine art print studio and prints for many professional photographers and artists. He believes that converting pixels to print allows the images to be enjoyed for generations, rather than disappearing down a timeline in favour of newer pixels.


Marc Aspland


Marc Aspland is an award-winning photographer who has served as Chief Sports Photographer at The Times for thirty years. He has covered events such as the summer Olympic Games since Barcelona 1992, multiple FIFA World Cup Finals, FA Cup Finals since 1998 and the Rugby World Cup from 1991-2011 to name just a few. His photography has earned him the honour of becoming an Honorary Fellow of the Royal Photographic Society of Great Britain and he has been a Canon Ambassador since its inception in 2009.
