Canon secures position on major purchasing framework

United Kingdom, Republic of Ireland, 20 October 2021. Canon is delighted to announce it has been awarded ‘supplier status’ in Lot 2 of the latest Crescent Purchasing Consortium (CPC) framework. A move that will allow organisations from across the education and wider public sectors to access its award-winning range of products and services.

CPC is one of the largest and most experienced education purchasing consortiums in the UK and is owned and run by its members. It delivers compliant, streamlined procurement procedures and cost savings to its members, which include schools, multi-academy trusts and colleges, as well as wider public sector organisations. CPC’s Multifunctional devices and digital transformation solutions framework is managed by Dukefield Print Solutions, which is part of the Dukefield Group.

Canon has been a supplier to the CPC framework for the last ten years and inclusion in this latest update is based on meeting a number of important evaluation criteria, including value for money, quality, and capability benchmarks. Lot 2 of the new framework for the provision of Multifunctional Devices and Digital Transformation Solutions, features:

MFDs, managed print services, hardware, software and print related services, Audio visual supplies and services, cloud services, document storage and distribution services, electronic document management systems and services, external print and related services, high volume/production print devices and associated supplies and services.

The framework brings together Multifunctional Devices (MFDs), Print Management and Digital Transformation Services under one agreement in response to the overall reduction in print volumes and the wider shift towards digitalisation across the sector. It allows members to source a full end-to-end information management solution, whilst benefiting from efficiencies and Canon’s extensive range of products, software and services.

Paul Isaacs, Director of Direct Sales at Canon UK & Ireland, comments: “Inclusion in this major framework is hugely important. It allows us to offer our unrivalled portfolio to CPC members, helping them optimise their technology and wider document management. We’re already a significant supplier to the education and public sectors, and our partnership with the framework will further strengthen this position.”

Jon Chamberlain, Group CEO at Dukefield comments: “We’re very pleased to be including such a breadth of quality Canon products and services on the latest CPC framework. Our aim is to match education and public sector customers with excellent suppliers who can deliver a diverse range of offerings. Over the last ten years, Canon’s involvement in the framework has helped us achieve this objective, as well as driving year on year sales growth.”
